  • Me and my boyfriend stayed here from the 24th of February to the 27th, it was amazing, Chloe was so lovely and available to answer any questions we had, although they stayed next door, they didn’t bother you unless you needed them, the thoughtful touches they put in for arrival, Prosecco, cookies, fresh cakes, and the essentials in the fridge, it was so thoughtful, the cabin was amazing, so spacious and clean and very modern, it’s exactly how it is pictured, the surrounding area was gorgeous and there was so much to do, the hot tub was great, it was an overall amazing stay, it was in the perfect location for a perfect cabin, would 100% be back and recommend it for others, we had the best few days away here, thank you chloe for such a lovely stay.

We aim to make visitors feel relaxed and welcome in our spacious family home. You will have a private room with beds and your own seating area. There is also space for a third person on a very comfortable sofa-bed. In the morning during Summer, we provide an ample traditional full-Scottish breakfast with award-winning haggis and black pudding. The house has a family atmosphere, so anyone is welcome. After being on Airbnb for five years, we still love the experience of having people in our home!
The house itself is lovely! Downstairs has solid wooden floors with underfloor heating, and the room you'll be sleeping in has woolen carpets. The room is away from the rest of the sleeping quarters. There is also a guest toilet downstairs. The bathroom upstairs has a walk-in shower - which we always make sure is kept very clean. There are also puzzles and games in the room which you are welcome to use, as well as a comfortable couch.
The village shop sells lovely homemade tablet. The local woods have well-kept paths. You can walk to Rogie Falls or Loch na Crann nestled in the heart of the forest. If you fancy a longer hike, Ben Wyvis is also close by and offers unrivalled views across the highlands on a good day. A short drive away is Loch Achilty which has parking and small picnic area. A five minute walk from the house is the picturesque Coul House Hotel, which offers home cooked meals all day. Fishing permits are available from the village filling station. We are also on the main road out toward Ullapool and the West coast. Towards the East, we are 30 minutes away from Inverness and all the experiences of Loch Ness!

We are very excited to welcome you to our brand new cabin, 'The Wee Fraser'! We are now able to take bookings and we would love you to stay a few nights in this compact but well organised modern pod. With lovely views over the hills of Beauly and the Ben Wyvis to the west. Our cabin is well equipped with a comfortable double bed and storage area for your luggage and clothes. All bedlinen provided. There is a spacious wetroom with shower, toilet and sink. Towels, soap and shampoo are provided so no need to take your own. A small kitchen with microwave oven/grill, sink, kettle and toaster and a small dining area. Please note the kitchen does not have a gas/electric hob. There is a comfy sofa where you can relax and watch the TV. Outside is a seating area where you can enjoy the beautiful Scottish weather and the lovely views over the fields and hills.
  • Nicole's cabin is super cozy and just what we were looking for. Small but big enough for a get away from the city in nature. It was sparkling clean and had loads of nice little touches. Nicole was super fast with communication and the check in was easy. Would absolutely come again and recommend it anytime!

    Julia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

  • This was our second stay at The Wee Fraser Cabin and again it was a wonderful experience - immaculately clean, well-equipped and very cosy even in the frosty October weather. The location is fantastic (only a 5 minute walk into town) and it's a lovely part of the country. I'd highly recommend, and will definitely be back again!

    Donata2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cabin on the edge of town. Not massive but very efficient use of the space to mean there is a separate sitting area and small table. Nice hot water in the shower. Even though it was nearly freezing outside the cabin was still nice and warm inside. Beauly has several nice shops and cafes that can provide everything you need with just a short walk. Thanks, Nicole!

    Maeve2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We can totally recommend the place to others who like to spend time in a cozy cabine in rural Scotland. Would definitely book it again. Nicole is also a very nice host and was very supportive.

    Sebastian2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place to stay outside of Inverness, but close enough to access the city quickly. It's sheltered from the street and feels very private, but you can walk anywhere in the village. Beauly is a charming little village with a number of restaurants, the historic Beauly priory, and a large enough Co-op grocery store to grab things for breakfast and lunch. There is lots of clan Fraser history for Outlander fans to enjoy; the Beauly priory is actually mentioned in the Dragonfly in Amber book. This cabin is perfect for a couple and very affordable. It's small, but very spacious! We really enjoyed staying here and were sad to leave. We used this cabin as our base camp for a two day bike ride around the Loch Ness 360 trail; we left all our gear and suitcases while we stayed one night in Fort Augustus during the trip. I also ran the Loch Ness marathon while we stayed in this cabin. So close to Inverness, where you have to catch the bus to the start of the race! Highly recommend this property!

Welcome to Berryfields Log Cabin, situated in a quiet residential area in the village of Beauly in the Scottish Highlands. The log cabin is in the garden of our home, entirely fenced off for your privacy. It has its own private access and off road parking space. It also has a patio so you can enjoy the beautiful Scottish weather! Grocery shops, post office and laundrette are just round the corner. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
The layout is similar to a studio apartment. The king size bed is at the back of the cabin, with a separate bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) beside it. There is a large wardrobe for your luggage. In front of the bed is the living area, which has a sofa, nest of tables and TV. Beside the living area is the kitchen with a table and chairs. The property is self catering, and the grocery shop is located just round the corner!
Beauly is an ideal place to kick off your tour around the 'North Coast 500'.
  • Great location and Nicole has really made the effort to make the cabin welcoming and comfortable with some thoughtful touches. She arranged some extras for our toddler which made our trip go more smoothly.

  • If you're looking to stay near Inverness this place is a really great option. Fantastic space - cosy, warm and really well set up. We'd definitely stay here again.

  • This is such a lovely and easy stay. Check in was easy and stress free, exactly what you need after a long drive. The entrance was perfect, it was nice and secluded with full privacy. The pictures do not truly represent the size, it feels and seems a lot bigger. There is everything you need down to tea towels, soap, washing up liquid and salt. The biscuits were a nice added touch (just what we needed after a long drive) We felt really relaxed and cosy here, the bed was very comfy, nice and soft. The shower was warm and powerful and not to mention it all as a whole was very clean. We would definitely recommend.

  • Everything you could need, with more space than you'd imagine possible!

    Deirdre2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • The small but very comfortable cabin was very tidy and in a perfect position, close to the local mini-market and not on the main road so quiet and private. It has everything you need and the bed was very comfortable!

    Elia2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely exceptional spot - solo travel DELIGHT! I can’t wait to be back. Let’s start with the space - so stunning, so comfy, so warm, and SO BRIGHT! Which are all needed in a country that likes to change seasons multiple times in one day! It has absolutely EVERYTHING you need. Literally. I made myself meals everyday! The location is PERFECT. Within walking distance to a divine deli - The Corner on the Square, which stocks and cooks many yummy goodies & meals - healthy and not so healthy! I loved the cabin because even though I had a car to explore furtherfield (like the majestic Glen Affric), I could walk everywhere in town, and do two lovely hikes in the area that Nicole told me about. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The hosts were amazing, the area fab, the accommodation perfect..... If you want a real local experience, stay in BEAULY, and stay in this cabin! Thank you again! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

An upper floor apartment, formerly the stationmaster's home, in this Victorian station. In the picturesque village of Beauly just 12 miles from Inverness, it is an ideal base for touring the highlands or starting the North Coast 500. With 3 double bedrooms (one can be used as a twin) it sleeps 6 comfortably but can be let to smaller groups. The kitchen has an oven, hob and washing machine. There is a toilet and shower room. Trains still run from the new station nearby.
The apartment is ideal for independent travellers. It has all the amenities you would want for your stay and is exceptionally comfortable. While it can sleep 6 in 3 double rooms (one can be converted to a twin) we are happy to let it to smaller groups. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds and the third bedroom has twin beds that convert into a super king size bed. There are electric radiators in all the rooms and there is also a real fire in the living room. There is a TV and DVD player with a plentiful supply of DVDs. We have lots of books which you are welcome to read while you're here. Please contact us if you want any specific details or have particular requirements.
Beauly is a thriving village, renowned for its floral displays. It has a wide range of local shops, some of which are destinations for visitors in their own right. Campbell's of Beauly has supplied bespoke country clothing for generations and is well worth a visit, as are Iain Marr Antiques, Amy MacKay Jewellery and Morrison's - a traditional hardware shop that must be one of the last of its kind in the country. Beauly still boasts a butcher, baker and greengrocer as well as a fine delicatessen and coffee shop and small supermarkets. It also has two galleries and some excellent gift shops. There are several local hostelries and restaurants, as well as takeaway food establishments. Inverness, 12 miles away, has some brilliant independent restaurants which are well worth a visit in their own right and it's possible to get a train to and from Inverness and have time for a meal. The ancient priory is steeped in history and is open to the public. There are numerous short walks around the village, along the river and through fantastic mature woodland. One of the real attractions of Beauly is that it is a gateway to much of the Highlands with easy access to routes to the West and North as well as being a short distance from Inverness, the Highland capital. During the summer a Pipe Band play in the Square on a Thursday night, accompanied by a Highland Dancing display.
  • The Old Station house is a great spot to explore the Scottish Highlands. Garry was a fabulous host and went out of his way to make use feel at home. The flat is really spacious, well equipped and great value.

    Max2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This flat was perfect for our needs, as we were visiting family in the area but didn’t want to be based in Inverness City. The flat was spotlessly clean and furnishings, including mattresses, were very comfortable. We were delighted to find bread, milk, butter, tea bags, etc had been left for us, and this was really appreciated as it took the pressure off after a long drive. We had no problems at all during our stay, but we were provided with several contact phone numbers should we have needed them. I stupidly left an important item behind at the end of our stay and the owners were fantastic, letting me know promptly and having it in the post for me the same day! I would highly recommend this flat as an excellent, well appointed base for a Highland stay.

A charming self contained cottage style apartment in what was formerly Lord Lovat’s private waiting room in the old Station, Beauly. With its own front door, a large double bedroom and sitting room (with a wood burning stove) it is an ideal retreat for a quiet weekend or for a couple wanting to explore the Highlands. It also has a bathroom, with a lovely shower, and a small tea preparation area with fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. It is just a few minutes walk from the village.
A few hundred yards from the centre of the beautiful village of Beauly which boasts a great range of shops and places to eat it is a great base for a quiet break or to use as a base for exploring the Highlands. Close to the main routes North, South, East and West it is within easy driving distance of some of the areas top visitor attractions including Ben Nevis, Loch Ness, Culloden battlefield, Cairngorm mountains, many castles and stately homes, countless whisky distilleries, standing stones and ancient settlements. Beauly is on the North Coast 500, a circular driving route around that is fast becoming recognised as being as iconic as the famous American Route 66. But if driving is not your thing you can hop on a train and and get to Inverness within 15 minutes or travel further afield afield to Plockton, Kyle of Lochalsh, Golspie or Brora all with their own attractions.
  • Exactly what it says on the tin and more. Lord Lovatt’s Waiting Room is the perfect place to get away from it all. It is clear that the host has taken a lot of time to get the accommodation just right with lots of nice touches over and above what would normally be expected.

  • This was a great place to come “home” to after busy days of driving and of sightseeing in the Highlands. It was very comfortable and spacious for 2 people. We especially appreciated having some breakfast things provided so we could get an earlier start in the morning. It was also interesting to learn a bit about the building’s history as the old train station.

    Katie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • You will get a wonderful stay at a beautiful and unique property, one which is also immensely cosy and comfortable! The hosts go above and beyond to provide a lovely place to stay, with food on hand for arriva! We would definitely recommend highly to anyone!

Your room is a king size (5’) with ensuite in Kirkhill. B&B only. We are situated next to Achnagairn Castle and on the North Coast 500 route. By car we are 10 minutes from Inverness and 15 mins from Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. Ord Distillery is 10mins drive away. If looking for a longer stay just message, we may be able to accommodate you
Your room has just been redecorated with new furniture, lights, seating and a comfortable bed. There is also a double usb socket in the room and a lock on your door. You are able to park outside the house free of charge.
Kirkhill is 10 minutes from Inverness, 15 minutes from Loch Ness, Drummnadrochit, Urquhart Castle, which then leads on to the road to the Isle of Skye. Kirkhill is a small quiet village, with no shops however Beauly is only a 5 minute drive away and has a selection of shops, restaurants and quaint gift shops. There is a pub exactly one mile from our home which serves lunch and evening meals at a reasonable price. They do 2 meals for £10.99 Mon-Fri from noon to 6pm 🌮🥗 Muir of Ord is also 10 minutes away and there you have Glen Ord distillery and a reasonably priced golf course. The distillery does tours and tastings 🥃🥃, all keenly priced with friendly staff. Fortrose is 30 minutes away and is home to large Bottlenose dolphins which can be seen frequently. They are larger than anywhere else in the world due to the cold climate, which means they need extra blubber. If you are a keen walker, and looking for a quiet day with stunning views and very few people, then Glen Affric is only 30 miles away and there are various walks ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. The most popular, with stunning scenery, is the Loch Affric circuit which takes around five hours. If you go to walkhighlands.co.uk you can view all the walks, times, scenery.

  • Me and my friend stayed at Ken’s place for 2 nights when we took a trip up to Inverness. We had an amazing time. Before we arrived we had to change the dates from Fri-Sun to Sat-Mon and we had no issues at all Ken was very accommodative. When we arrived everything went smoothly and there home is beautiful. Our room was a good size with plenty of space and very clean. They even left bottles of water and a box of chocolates in the room for when we arrived which we thought was a lovely touch. They also have plenty of suggestions on what you can see and go in the area if you need any advice. Would highly recommend staying here as you get value for money.

An upstairs ensuite bedroom with a brand new double bed and mattress. Newly finished room with brand new ensuite bathroom with 800mmx800mm, glass mosaic tiled, rain shower plus sink, toilet and mist-free mirror.
I've worked for years across Africa and this room sensitively reflects my love of this great continent.
Beauly isn't big and the house is four minutes walk from the train station - shortest platform in UK!. From the house to the town centre and places to eat is a five minute walk.
  • A great place to stay in Beauly! Very close to train station and very friendly host.

    Claire2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen is a great host, very kind and welcoming. The house was perfect for my stay.

    Louise2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you're travelling by train this is a brilliant stop over being so close to the railway station. It was perfect for my husband and I on our train journey home from Orkney. Beauly is a lovely find and Stephen is an excellent host.

    Sue2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately Stephen was not home during our stay, however this did mean we had the whole place to ourselves. Stephen was very lovely in his messages and super accomodating. The downstairs bedroom was not booked so Stephen offered us use of the main bathroom and even the fridge. Thank you so much for a lovely stay during our highland getaway :)

  • Great place near Inverness. Station is really near and the space is really nice, clean, new and comfortable. Very affordable too for all it offered. Stephen went to extraordinary lengths to make this room a 5-star experience.

    Rodolfo2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen's place is very comfortable and in a good location from the train station (15 mins from Inverness), as well it is a 5 minute walk to the grocery store, could not ask for more!

    Alex2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a wonderful week in Stephen's house in Beauly, ideally located in the middle of the Highlands. Stephen has been very welcoming and gave us precious advices and details about the area. The room upstairs with double bed and private bathroom is very comfortable, nice and tidy, perfect for a couple. Highly recommended ! Lyse and Simon

  • Address to remember if you come by car to Inverness. Quiet, independent, neat and very modern decoration, new, highly efficient heating and controlled remotely so that when you arrive the room is at the right temperature! Breakfast in the room very rich. Pauline is very welcoming and the exchanges are simple and courteous. Thank you again for all.

  • We had a wonderful time here! Pauline was a very thoughtful and welcoming host. She provided snacks, tea yoghurt, sandwich fixings, and made the room up every day, it was very relaxing and fun to stay here. The view out the main window was amazing as well. We would definitely stay here again!

    Jack2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what is advertised or maybe better. Wonderful and beautiful place, outstanding hospitality, Pauline went far and beyond to make our stay comfortable. You won’t regret staying at her place.

  • Very nice place to stay and very helpful host.

    Donald Ai2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline’s place was the most luxurious and stylish we’ve stayed in while in Scotland. The bed was roomy, comfortable and warm, the room was spacious and well appointed, and the bathroom was modern, clean and stylish. Pauline herself was the epitome of a gracious host and attentive to our needs, including providing ice for an injured knee upon our arrival. The suite has a separate entrance off the family home, so we had privacy and quiet. The location is rural and affords a gorgeous view of the valley below, but is very close to the village of Beauly, where you can easily get food from the shop, or go to a restaurant. Pauline’s continental breakfast was top notch, and served in the room at your leisure. We highly recommend this host and her lovely room, which is perfectly situated for exploring the Inverness region. Thanks so much for an excellent stay, Pauline!

  • The accommodation is situated atop a hill in the middle of the Highlands about 20 minutes drive from Inverness. The host is very helpful and kind, the spaces are spacious and elegant, with every essential service. We were also lucky enough to see two deer in front of the house, unforgettable.

  • Nice comfortable and private spot. Very friendly family

    Jordan2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful space! I found it easiest to use taxi for transport, since I wouldn't say the city centre is within walking distance. There is a lovely nature trail just behind the house. The house is gorgeous and new, be mindful of keeping it clean since they obviously work so hard to make it nice for you. Keep in mind that this is a family home with a family that lives in it. Everyone is amazingly friendly and welcoming, but if you do not want to encounter children, you should look elsewhere. Overall, I had an amazing and comfortable stay!

    Amanda2019-09-17T00:00:00Z

Fuchsia Cottage is situated in the heart of Beaufort Estate. With beautiful walks and scenery all around. This is the perfect family retreat and easy access to the NC500. Plenty of golf courses within a short travelling distance. The area is steeped in history with Culloden Battlefield only a 20 minute drive from the cottage. Loch Ness is about the same distance and definitely worth a visit along with a trip on one of the Jacobite cruises. Fly into Inverness airport, only a half hour drive.
Fuchsia Cottage is rather special as the cottage was once used by one of the much loved tradesmen on the estate. You can get a feel for the working farm and if lucky enough be able to have a conversation with the happy go lucky farmer himself. He is more than delighted to have a wee blether about what is entailed in being a farmer in modern times.
  • We stayed at fuchsia cottage for 10 day and it was a lovely holiday, very peaceful and beautiful location, the cottage is perfect for exploring the Highlands and to get away from the city. It's well equipped and is new

  • Me and my friend Andy had the pleasure of bagging a night at Nicola's guest room. IT was very clean and modern. I loved the little touches like the breakfast snack and porridge- as we didn't even pay for any breakfast additions. This was really thoughtful. The bathroom was very clean and I felt right at home. Nicola is very friendly and I would recommend people who are travelling the North Coast 500 to stay with her! Amazing.

The 17th century four star Bunchrew house hotel is within a few minutes walk away through beautiful mature woodland for quality meals, drinks and cocktails beside open fires with wonderful views across the water from the dining room...Summer sunsets can be stunning.

Our Cabin is situatated in stunning countryside 11 miles, 15 mins drive from Inverness. This hand built luxuary cabin is fully insulation with underfloor heating, keeping it lovely and warn all year. It is a light and cosy space with a touch of luxury, located beside our home in a quiet, rural location and commanding stunning views into the valley. If you desire a quiet space to relax this will be your ideal getaway. Great walks, lovley places to explore, experience tranqui and stunning scenery.
My cabin has been built and decorated with love and passion. We built the cabin to fullfill what we would like in a holiday let and to highlight highland hospitality at its best. The cabin is a special place suitable for weekends, full weeks and business trips alike. It has all the amenities of a high class hotel and more.
We live in a beautiful part of Inverness shire called Kiltarlity, just outside the picturesque village of Beauly. Our property is very rural and quiet surrounded by fields looking into the valley of Strathglass. We are not over looked by other properties with our few neighbours being a field distance away. If your looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place for you. During the day it’s extreamly quiet, at night it’s silent. With no light pollution the stars are spectacular, you can see shooting stars and the amazing Aurora Borealis can be visible.
  • Beautiful lodge, sparkling clean, lovely furniture and fit out. Great location for walking and the views from the lodge are wonderful.

  • Fantastic place and even better hospitality. The space has everything you’d need for cooking like oil, salt, pepper and other condiments. They’ve also got breakfast options in the room which were sufficient for us since we stayed for a weekend. The place was sparkling clean and very well maintained. I almost didn’t want to get it dirty! Caterina is a very gracious and helpful host who gave us some tips for a nice hike around the house too :)

    Manisha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was just great, the weather didn’t spoil us but the cabin had everything we needed to fill our time during rainy days. It was very clean and warm. Beautiful scenery. The hosts provided us with fresh bread milk & eggs as well as Scottish tablet & homemade jams and many other shimmy things! Would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will be back in summer!

    Judyta2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • This place is amazing! You have everything you could possibly need and it's very cozy. The location is awesome and in the nearby town there's a lot of great food. We loved making breakfast with the eggs, bread and various homemade jams provided. We met Caterina's husband, Mark, and he gave us a lot of tips of what to see in the area. We would definitely book this place again when we return to the highlands.

  • Fantastic two nights spent in this wonderful cabin for Hogmanay. It was spotless, cosy and had everything we needed for a trip away. The personal touches with fresh eggs, tablet and treats for our dog were a really nice touch and just added to our stay. It’s a perfect place for a quiet getaway, with plenty of places to explore. Mark and Nina were lovely and great hosts, helping us with whatever we needed, no wonder it is such a popular place to stay. We loved our time there and would love to visit again one day.

    Graeme2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We didn’t want to leave! This was a 5 star luxury cabin ready for us and our dog. Mark and Caterina have thought of everything in this cabin, making our stay easy and relaxing. The yard is fully enclosed, there were treats left for our dog and there are beautiful off-lead walks straight off the door step. Make sure to try the home made strawberry jam - it’s the best I’ve ever had! We can’t wait to come back!

  • Lynsay’s place was a great value; spacious and well equipped for the price. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Inverness with a car - parking at the flat was free and convenient, but the flat was not in easy walking distance of the town.

  • a single storey apartment perfectly located near a "fast" lane so no need to cross half of the city to return in the evening. Super easy arrival with information from Lynsay. clean apartment and very well equipped with soap, paper towel, butter jam, microwave, oven .... in short very practical! a large living room with 2 very comfortable sofas where it is pleasant to sit down after a long day of discovery. To discover !

  • Lynsay’s flat is a perfect base for anyone exploring this area of Scotland. Just off the A9, it’s fab for getting around plus this area is just beautiful. The flat was cosy and very clean, had everything I needed in it. Plenty utensils and bits & bobs in the kitchen. Also, toiletries in the bathroom are a fab touch - handy when you forget a few things like I did. I will definitely come back here if I’m needing a place to stay the next time I visit. The parking out front was great, I always had a space to park in. Even though the main road/street is right out the living room and kitchen window. I wasn’t aware of it being noisy.

  • Wonderfully well-equipped little property. I’d highly recommend staying here and hope to be back myself.
