Places to stay in Bath
A rare opportunity to stay in a huge first floor period apartment in one of England's most beautiful cities. Beautifully restored by us and with easy access to the city centre and countryside beyond. Free on-street parking and a space saved for you on request.
Ready
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: We are open and able to offer the perfect place for social distancing, working from home or just different 4 walls. Rates are reduced and any cancellations are offered free to NHS front line staff. As we offer an entirely private apartment we are still able to offer a beautiful but rather different experience. Whether your holiday was cancelled or you wish to self isolate or work from another location or just sick of the same four walls. We can offer a car to apartment welcome and will greet you personally with a smile not a hand shake. Myself and Daniel clean and maintain the apartment personally to the highest standards and we use antibacterial treatments on all surface, particularly regularly touched areas. We are also laundering linen and towels at a high temperature of 90c. Hand wash is provided as always The apartment has Netflix/Tv and fast broadband suitable working from home or just play. The kitchen has all you need and a supermarket is literally 5 mins walk away. If you decide to venture out on foot, beautiful and quiet countryside and canal walks are just 5 mins away As we speak Bath and attractions and most restaurants and pubs remain open and should be lovely and quiet for once. This may change but the delivery services in Bath will happily bring the best local restaurant to your door. (We have an intercom so can be left at the door)
  • The flat is gorgeous. It’s bright & airy and well equipped. It’s only a short walk from nice restaurants and is well located for exploring the sights of Bath. Daniel was very friendly & helpful & met us on arrival and showed us around. Thank you Daniel! We will be back!

  • Daniel and Anna's place is a perfect place for a base to explore Bath. Daniel met us upon check-in and showed us round the beautiful stylish house. Breakfast Infront of those massive windows was a great start to each day. Would stay again :)

  • If you're lucky enough to find it available, book it! Communication was perfect, Daniel is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The flat is simply perfect and spotless. Shower is great, bed is comfortable, living room incredible. We had parking and they even let us park after our booking was over. We were late to free up the parking space but Daniel being a great dude was understanding. The flat is close to everything (15 min walk to center) and there are great pubs around. The view is amazing. Possibly the best Airbnb experience we had so far and we've been using it for 4 years. Book it now!

  • Daniel and Anna's apartment is a stunning space! It's in a great location well tucked away from the crowdedness of the town centre, situated in a lovely local neighbourhood with easy access to shops, bars, restaurants and also the more secluded areas. We enjoyed walking everywhere from here and waking up to the spectacular view over the fields everyday. The apartment has wonderful period features, natural light throughout and is spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It has all the amenities you could need and is decorated with many thoughtful touches. The hospitality was exceptional - we felt so welcomed and enjoyed having great chats with Daniel. All the local tips made our stay even more memorable! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and special getaway to Bath.

  • The apartment was just as lovely as the pictures suggested and Daniel and Anna provided much appreciated additional details including reserving a parking spot, and that amazing bread - thanks!! It's a brilliant starting point to explore all Bath has to offer and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the city centre each morning and afternoon, getting to know the area. It's a beautiful city, even in the stormy rain(!), and we are really looking forward to staying here again in the future and perhaps walking into the countryside as Daniel suggested. We would heartily recommend staying here!

    Sophie2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment set in an ideal location. Daniel and Anna were great hosts with lots of local knowledge. Would definitely return to Bath and stay here again.

  • We spent 3 nights here for my mother in laws 70th birthday celebrations. We were a party of 9 in the end. It was the perfect setting. The grounds and castle are beautiful. All Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Only problem we had which was our fault, was 2 family members are disabled. One stayed in the downstairs bedroom. Other in the clock house as neither of them could managed going upstairs due to it being a spiral iron staircase. The clock house shower wasn’t suitable for the family member staying there as they needed a walk in shower. So it meant they had to come inside and share the downstairs shower also which was fine. But worth mentioning to any further guests that may have more than one disabled person in their party. We all will strongly recommend this property. Claire and Adrian very helpful when asking about outside catering companies. Which we didn’t end up using as it was really easy getting a Tesco’s delivery to the property. Check in and directions were excellent. This was a stress free few days away. We would all love to return in the future and can imagine how lovely it would be in the summer months.

    Lisa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as stated, this is a great, characterful place to stay with wonderful hosts that respond quickly to communication.

    Jamie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous place. Good facilities for catering. Great open relaxation areas. Function but beautiful bedrooms. House lovely and warm. Clock house great for any guests that can’t manage the stairs and nicer than described. Loads of room for parking and grounds would be lovely in dry weather. Great, unique quirky place.

    Deb2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly, the photos on air bnb do not do the castle justice. It is simply a stunning place that feels so authentic. The grounds surrounding the castle are also fantastic and given we had the right weather, a lot of time would have been spent outside in the massive gardens utilising the bbq they have. The dining room was a personal favourite of mine and if we didn’t want to cook there was 20+ places that delivered to the castle on Just Eat. (Nacho cheese was an excellent takeaway) Adrian and Claire were lovely hosts and got back to me so quickly about any queries I had during the week. I can’t fault anything during my stay at longs park castle. I’d previously seen some reviews that made me a tad bit skeptical of the place prior to my arrival but I don’t know why I was worried because as I said, I couldn’t fault the place. Myself and friends had a brilliant break and will definitely be returning in the summer at some point. Thank you Claire & Adrian! ☺️

    Luke2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t give this place enough stars. The communication with hosts Claire and Adrian before our stay was wonderful. We were given extremely detailed instructions about the check in and using the house generally. Although the check in did not require meeting them, they responded to our messages within minutes from check in to check out. We visited as a group of friends having a university reunion and the castle is just the perfect place for this type of event. The novelty factor of staying in a castle, complete with coats of armour and four poster beds was amazing. Although it must be an old building, it was extremely warm (the hosts sent very clear instructions about the hot water and heating) and the hot water worked for all of us. Lots of the rooms are en-suites and there are a few standalone toilets/bathrooms as well. The beds were comfy with very clean bed linen and towels provided. The only thing to be aware of is that there is capacity in the main house for ten people and the remaining beds are in an outhouse which has two doubles and two Z beds. The outhouse was absolutely fine but not as nice as the main house. Worth bearing in mind when planning sleeping arrangements. All in all, I can’t recommend the place more. Huge amounts of fun and lovely hosts.

    Emily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A truly magical place for adults and children. We loved eating meals at the large dining space and enjoying wine together. It rained quite a bit whilst we were there but still plenty to do and space within the house and separate games room. The downstairs bedroom was perfect to put our three year old down to sleep on the evening before transferring him up to bed with us later on as it’s right next to main living area. Elderly may struggle with stair case, however double bedroom downstairs and toilet and shower plus the lovely annex which is perfect for older people again with own kitchen and bathroom. Washing machine meant we could wash wet clothes and space to dry them. In between showers driveway which was safe and enclosed meant we could enjoy ball games and not get muddy. Kids loved climbing the fallen tree by the play area. We took some amazing photos both inside and out. A great place to stay for all ages. Supermarkets and town of Trowbridge only 9 min drive. Nature reserve - we had a lovely walk. On way home we stopped off at Bradford on Avon which again was beautiful. Thank you Adrian and Claire our half term break was magical.

    Katie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely amazing and gorgeous location suitable for a larger family looking for a special location, hen du, stag du and special group events. The rooms are more spacious than you think and the beds are very comfortable. The location itself has a lot to offer with facilities such as the games hut and one thing we were not expecting was the sheer space to park vehicles - 7 cars fit comfortably there! We hired for a hen du and stayed when Storm Dennis hit! It created a unique atmosphere that we cozied down with as it affected our original plan to spend most of the day in Bath (close to the venue). Whilst we still went in we did in fact spend most of our time at the Castle playing group games and getting cozy. Due to the storm we experienced a few issues as a group that were unavoidable (no one can control the weather after all!) The hosts answered when called and were very happy to help with the various issues storm Dennis had thrown our way and swiftly responded which is what you want from a host! General good to know notes: The venue is closer to the road than first thought, and the gate opens into a spacious car Park. Definitely bring slippers or indoor shoes as the stair cases leading to the upper rooms are metal and cold on the feet due to the nature of the building. The venue is close enough to Bath for a visit There's shops within driving distance but take away companies generally either won't deliver or will charge large delivery fees - we just went and collected! Overall a gorgeous location with thoughtful hosts and one that I would love to visit again.

Step into the enchantment of this heated treehouse which offers idyllic countryside views. Fix breakfast with tea in a quaint kitchen and cosy up in the charming decor and wood-panelled walls, surrounded by nature. The treehouse is up a long private drive, surrounded by fields in the heart of Somerset's most stunning countryside.
Twiglet is the perfect romantic holiday for those wanting to get away from it all. You can sleep in a cosy double bed in a tree house with nature all around you. Downstairs is your own private bathroom with a shower and a loo. The shepherd's hut next door comprises a kitchen with its own fridge and cooking facilities. All the spaces come with central heating so it is suitable for winter breaks too. There is no TV but WiFi is available. There is a huge amount of outside space to be enjoyed. You can sit and enjoy a drink on the decking in front of the pretty pond which runs in front of the property. From there, you can take a stroll through the orchard and into the fields beyond.
The house is located in Mells, a village that dates back to the 11th century with a reputation for being one of the most serene in Somerset. It has an award-winning pub, the Talbot Inn, as well as a village shop, cafe, and many historic buildings.
  • Such a unique, wonderful, peaceful and romantic stay. We loved it and can’t wait to come back in the summer. Breakfast provisions are a really thoughtful touch. Loved sitting on the swing on the porch just enjoying the quiet! Definitely recommend.

  • We had a lovely one nights stay in the treehouse. It was every child’s dream. So lovely and peaceful and their lovely cat made our stay extra sweet with lots of cuddles. Leaving us a generous breakfast, plus milk, bread etc was a really thoughtful touch and although we didn’t visit, the local pub looked lovely! The decoration is so well done and they have made use of the spaces really well. We would love to come back again in the sunshine for a longer stay to be able to appreciate it all fully and make use of the thoughtful outside spaces. Daisy was really welcoming and when she realised a WiFi box was missing when she was showing us our accommodation, she sorted this immediately. Your place is really special, thanks for letting people share it!

  • Best Airbnb we have stayed in. So cute, Comfy beds, and exactly as pictured. It was plenty warm enough for us in February which was our only concern. I wish we would have stayed longer than one night!

  • A unique gem in a brilliant location. The tree house is fantastically done, we stayed in the winter and it was warm and cosy, all the amenities are much better than we expected! A special stay 🤩

  • The Twiglet treehouse was the perfect location for a relaxing weekend away. Everything was as the images show, and the location was just lovely! During our stay we visited the beautiful Frome and it’s independent shops and cafes, before coming into Mells and visiting the local pub. The food, service and staff were friendly, warm and welcoming, it felt as if we were one of the locals. The pub is an easy 15 minute walk from Twiglet if you want some fresh air. Mells village shop is great for essentials if needed too. The river flowing around the edge of the building, the swing seat and the complimentary bacon and eggs were just things that made the experience even better. We even had the loveable cat visit us both mornings, who will expect plenty of cuddles and fuss! Everything felt clean and well cared for around the whole site. We would recommend taking some shoes to slip on when going from bedroom to sitting room as the steps can be wet and slightly slippy too! Highly recommend visiting :)

  • A wonderful, idyllic place for a weekend away. The treehouse is beautifully deorated, cosy and had everything you could need. Spotlessly clean with lovely extra touches like breakfast provided. Daisy was very easy to communicate with. We would have loved to stay for longer!

  • We had an amazing stay! Twiglet is located in the most beautiful spot in the countryside. We had everything we needed and the treehouse is very nicely laid out and set up. We would definitely stay again!

Little Orchard is a beautiful Bath stone building which was once the potting sheds and outbuildings for The Orchard. It is a large airy space with a huge cosy bed, woodburner, bath and kitchen area. A perfect retreat 20 minutes from Bath! There are no hidden cleaning fees with this listing - the price is as listed plus the AirBNB booking fee. *****in these times where we need our health professionals and workers more than ever I will give a 25% discount to anyone who works for the NHS *****
The Space Little Orchard was converted from what were originally gardeners' potting sheds and outbuildings. It is separate from our house, across our gravelled driveway. It has changed greatly over 200 years and is now a large airy barn style room with a separate bathroom with bath and shower over. There is a small kitchen area with breakfast bar, sink, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and all you need to make breakfast or simple meals. There is also an electric one ring hotplate for crispy bacon or fried eggs! ***Please note there is no oven******If you would like a welcome pack we can provide cereal, croissants, juice and other breakfast basics for two people at an additional cost of £10. In the main room there is a zip and link super king-sized bed which can be split into two singles. We have a travel cot for small visitors, and can provide fold up beds for small children although floor space is quite limited. The space is not really suitable for 3 adults unless you are all very friendly! There is a lovely woodburner, and we provide logs and kindling. Little Orchard has its own entrance and off road parking space so you can come and go as you wish. There is an outdoor seating area for al fresco breakfasts, and a rustic seat outside the front door. There is a television, DVD player and wi-fi. There is also a bookcase full of books for cosy evenings by the fire. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all provided. I also provide tea, coffee, and milk. There are two fitted thermostatically controlled electric convector heaters in the main room, a fan heater and heated towel rail in the bathroom and the woodburner. NB You can book for one night apart from Fridays and Saturdays when there is a 2 night minimum stay.
The Neighbourhood Little Orchard is set in lovely countryside but within easy reach of a multitude of attractions. You will wake up to the birds singing, and we are situated in a Conservation Area. Bathford is built on Roman remains, it is known as 'the walled village', and in the woods at the top of the lane you can find the remains of the stone quarries that supplied Bath with its beautiful stone. There are some lovely walks from the cottage, and lots of pubs and cafes to visit. One of our favourites is the Mill at Bathampton, by the river. You can get a boat from here into Bath as well in the season. Check the Pulteney Princess for times and cost. There are two pubs in the village - one at the bottom - the Crown Inn - and one at the top. The village shop is open 7 days a week and is a co-operative run by people who live in the village. It has a cafe, and stocks a good range of basics as well as fresh bread and croissants and local produce. There are two golf courses within 3 miles - Kingsdown Golf Club and Cumberwell Golf Club. You can walk down into the valley and in half an hour you will be walking on the Kennet and Avon canal at Bathampton. On most weekends and during the week in school holidays there is a lovely canal boat which serves cakes, sandwiches and coffee, or you can walk or cycle along to the Dundas Aqueduct at Limpley Stoke and hire a boat. You can also hire old 1920's and 30's restored wooden rowing boats and punts at Bathampton Mill and at the Bath Boathouse. There are also two lovely pubs in Bathampton - The Mill on the river and The George on the canal. We are just outside Bath to the East with views from the village of Little Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel lives near here and it was where he wrote his famous song! In Bath you are spoilt for choice with the Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the Royal Crescent, the Circus, loads of theatres and restaurants, Bath rugby, Thermae spa - (a rooftop pool experience not to miss, especially at night) Christmas street market, gorgeous Georgian architecture. There are festivals all year round including the famous Mozartfest in November, the literature festival, Jane Austen festival and food festivals. The Music Festival is in May, the Christmas Market around the Abbey in November/December and too many others to mention. Shopping is a joy as there are lots of independent shops and Bath is a very self-contained city. You can also explore the surrounding area into Wiltshire and Somerset. Stonehenge is an easy day trip as are Wells, Salisbury, Tetbury and the Cotswolds and Bristol. The Hauser and Wirth gallery in Bruton with its famous Piet Oudulf garden is about 40 minutes away, and has a great restaurant and exhibitions. National Trust properties in the area include Stourhead, Dyrham Park, Lacock ( Harry Potter filmed here as well as lots of period dramas such as Cranford), Prior Park Gardens , The Courts at Holt, Great Chalfield Manor (some of Wolf Hall was filmed here), and Tyntesfield near Bristol. There are some great restaurants and lots of my guests go out to The Pig at Hunstrete which is just West of the Bath on the way to the Chew Valley Lakes. There is also the Michelin starred Pony and Trap in Chew Magna run by Josh and Holly Eggleton. The Gainsborough Hotel also has a Michelin star. Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa is 15 minutes away and also has a Michelin star, as well as a lovely spa and riding centre. A great veggie option is Acorn Kitchen for dinner, or the Green Rocket cafe for breakfast or lunch, also Chapel Arts who do lovely homemade flatbreads. If you are vegan try Beyond the Kale in Green Park Station, open during the daytime only, or Nourish on the London Road which is vegan and open for lunch and dinner. Corkage in Walcot Street, as recommended by Jay Rayner!, is a lovely wine bar with daily changing tapas plates. For a curry try the Eastern Eye in an amazing Georgian building, and for Thai, Koh Thai Tapas in Broad Street. The best Italian in Bath is the family run Martini on George Street. There are loads of independent cafes, my favourites are Society Cafe in Kingsmead Square, and the Walcot cafe in an old Bakery, with a club downstairs for dancing. I also love The Blue Quail deli on Pulteney Bridge, lots of lovely South African food and cakes. There are a couple of old Bath pubs you shouldn't miss. The Old Green Tree in Green Street, wood panelled and very cosy, The Star on The Paragon, no food just great beer, and The Bell on Walcot Street, bought by locals to save it from closing and a great live music venue. In Batheaston there is Gather - open Tuesday to Saturday, mostly vegetarian with lots of gluten free and great coffee and breakfasts/lunches. If you like cocktails you have to go to the Gin Bar, and The Dark Horse in Kingsmead Square. We have great theatres from the old and venerable Theatre Royal, to smaller places like the Rondo in Larkhall and The Mission Theatre. The best cinema is the Little Theatre by the Spa, there is a little bar and it has great atmosphere. On a weekend head to Green Park Station for the food market on Saturday mornings, and various vintage and antiques markets on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Absolutely lovely space with some amazing touches including a piece of brownie which was utterly delicious....

    Martin2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a lovely weekend at the beautiful cottage. Such a cute space, nicely finished and in the perfect location. We got the bus and went on lovely walks to Bath city centre. 100% recommend.

  • Fantastic apartment which we would fully recommend to anyone. Facilities were great and perfectly clean, good connections into bath as well! Couldn’t fault it, Karen was very accommodating and helpful :) 10/10 would stay again.

  • Amazing place, hope to return very soon.

    Jon2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and could not have asked for anything better. The house was spotless and very stylish whilst still being very cosy (due to the wood burner that was already prepared for us). The fact that the house is not located in the centre of bath is no issue whatsoever as there are frequent busses from just outside the cottage and it only takes 20 minutes to reach the centre! The icing on the cake was discovering 2 delicious brownies which had been left for us when we arrived. Thank you Karen!

    Teo2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortably, self contained accommodation within easy travelling distance of Bath.

    Simon2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay and just perfect for what we needed.

    Adam2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful gem tucked away and private. So cozy (log fire, books, games and DVDs) - perfect for relaxation and escaping from the demands of every day life. Super close to the centre of Bath for when you fancy getting out and about plus lovely countryside for walking! Couldn’t recommend more! Much much nicer than a hotel in the centre!

Our lovely studio flat is situated on the first floor of Rochfort Place, Bathwick Street, a beautiful Georgian Bath town house which dates back to the late 1700s. With the original floor to ceiling windows and wedding doors, it is a truly magnificent studio.
Rochfort Place is just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Bath with its fantastic shopping and restaurants. You can spend time in the many museums, Roman Baths, or relax in the modern thermae hot spa and stroll to the world famous Royal Crescent. It is short 3 minute walk from Great Pultney Street and the Holburne Museum located in the stunning Sydney Gardens with the picturesque Kennett and Avon canal running through it. You can hire bikes, boats - the options are endless. The National Trust Prior Park Gardens are easily accessible. We have the Theatre Royal which has a varied programme and worth seeing what is on during your stay. The terrace which leads directly from the kitchen is a wonderful place to sit and reflect on your stay in Bath. Bath Spa train station is only a 15 minute walk through the city centre which provides hourly trains to London in 90 minutes and regular trains to the City of Bristol in 10 minutes. Modern comforts include a bathroom, a self-catered kitchen, wi-fi, a television and speakers. A rarity for a flat in central Bath, our studio has outdoor space which consists of a private balcony with table and chairs. Due to the balcony and safety, the apartment is not suitable for children/ toddlers - babe in arms only. There is plenty of street parking available and you will be given a permit for your car on arrival if required. We provide all bedding, towels, hairdryer etc to make your stay comfortable - a home from home. Although you are spoilt for choice with shops and facilities on your doorstep there is a welcome basket of a few things to get you started. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

What makes it unique ? Well, what doesn't!! First of all I would suggest reading some of our reviews. We are very proud to have over 600 reviews across our 3 listings, and you won’t find many that are unhappy :-). There are probably not many places like this (in England at least)... It's more like a West Coast USA house as seen in Lloyd Khans amazing books (look him up). This is our own self-built eco house set in 5 or 6 acres of its own land. The house itself is in a private area, but within the grounds of the property there are many other spaces including a therapy suite ( you can book separately for massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy etc) , workshops for metal and woodwork, recording and rehearsal studio, a part time vegan cafe, a huge and eclectic collection of obscure artefacts from aeroplanes to gypsy caravans, and anything in between!! It is also home to upwards of 20 other people who are engaged in work with circus/ festivals and events management. There is an early stage forest garden , solar hot water and electric and more being added daily. There is always something new at Rockaway! If you're looking for somewhere fastidiously neat and tidy or you're scared of spiders it's probably not for you , but if you like what you see, we'd love to have you here ....,( although of course we do our best to keep it neat and tidy, I am just trying to put off over- fussy guests :-) We like to think we understand the ethos of Airbnb and the desire to change the world for the better by encouraging conversation and the sharing of ideas. We have found the whole experience to be thoroughly rewarding and we hope you will too. Please note we have another (cheaper) room available in the house, with two single beds and a shared toilet, and also an apartment that can sleep 4 comfortably. We are able to accommodate extra people, so if you're traveling with kids or friends and think our listed rooms are too small to fit all of you, please enquire. Look forward to meeting you. Mark and Marta
The house is set in approx 6-7 acres of land part of which used to be a scrapyard and some of which we still run as such. There are woods and great walks very close by and good bus connections for Bristol, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury. We are about half a mile from the village of Temple Cloud in a secluded, redundant stone quarry. There are mature oak trees all around the house and the site. We still run a van dismantling business from the adjacent yard and help out from time to time with artistic projects involving scrap, including photography, film and video projects. If you're looking for inspiration or looking to meet people to help further your ideas and plans , we may be able to point you in the right direction or hook you up with the right people... I'm hoping that the B and B will just help to make further and far reaching connections and not just be a soulless interaction... Of course though we are just as happy for people to come and just chill. Tourist attractions in the area include: Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Roman Baths, Wells Cathedral, Wooky Hole Caves, Bristol city and all it's attractions from amazing graffiti art to Brunel's architectural achievements.
  • A friendly welcome and a comfortable stay at an eccentric and amazing venue.

  • Marta and Mark are the most amazing hosts! Their home, which we shared for two nights, is exceptionally beautiful. We enjoyed every second of our stay and we left already planning for our next visit. This place is one of kind!

  • Amazing stay!!!! What a gem. Can't wait to come back

    Laura2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • From the first moment we felt home in this house. Everything was clean and of good quality. Even in winter time we never felt cold in our two rooms. Kitchen well equipped and good beds to sleep. Thank you!

    Adrian2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marta’s house is the most unique place i have ever seen. You could spend an entire day just inside her house, unfortunately we were there only for a day and couldn’t spend as much time as we would have liked to. She made us a delicious breakfast and even invited us to eat with her. I highly recommend her house for anyone who is visiting bath or Bristol. Her house is a 20 min drive to either places. Will definitely look forward to staying at her house whenever we visit Bath again.

  • Very cool and off beat vibe with plenty of nature close by. Relax and the the location worked perfectly for me to do day trips to Glastonbury, Bristol and Cheddar. It was a fun stay. I also enjoyed chatting with some of the other guests that were staying there. It had a nice community sorta vibe.

  • My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay here for Valentine’s Day, would recommend as a place to stay when visiting Bath or if you’re locals like us as a place to stay for a special occasion. Although the location is perfect for seeing the sights of Bath, it is close to a nightclub (Po Na Na) which meant it was very noisy during the early hours of the morning!

This Queen Street Apartment is exactly what it says on the tin - it's a centrally-located apartment with lofty appeal. This adults-only pad (12 years and over). Having received a top-to-bottom refurbishment in August 2014, it's a bright and beautiful apartment furnished in our signature style - bold wallpapers and quirky unexpected touches. We've also gone all out with a top-spec espresso machine and Smart TVs throughout.
This multi-talented room is a great space for relaxing in after a busy day exploring the city. With windows on two walls, and high ceiling beams (just like a New York loft apartment), it's a delight to come home to. The high gloss kitchen is kitted out with all the modern appliances you love - fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, cooker with built in microwave and electric hob - as well as some natty extras including an espresso machine and welcome hot drinks. Take our word for it: even cooking won't feel like a chore here, so be sure to buy some local delights whilst you're out and about (there's a farmer's market every Saturday morning so, if you're here over the weekend, do look it up). Master Bedroom This adaptable bedroom offers you the option of twin beds or a kingsize double. Super-spacious, it also has a single sofa bed (please note that this can't be moved), a dressing table, oodles of storage space, a Smart TV and a DAB radio. Second Bedroom This bedroom offers the perfect blend of cosyness and flexibility; despite being smaller than the Master, there's still space for either a kingsize bed, or two singles. Also kitted out with the obligatory Smart TV, this room offers a lovely retreat away from the hubbub of the city. Bathroom Furnished in high gloss white and deep purple, the bathroom has a bath with power shower over, and a toasty electric towel rail. Local True Grace toiletries.
The apartment is located right in the very centre of Historic bath, yet we are just off one of the main streets meaning we are in a relatively quite area. We are located in one of the oldest areas in Bath.
  • Great location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • 5 stars!

    Louise2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Central Loft is a lovely, airy, stylish place to stay and it's location in the centre of Bath couldn't be better. It is spotlessly clean and caters for your every need. My daughter and I loved our stay, but sadly it wasn't long enough. I will definitely book again when visiting Bath.

    Helen2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous location right in the center of Bath, the loft is huge and furnished to a very high specification, with everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay, including a dishwasher, washing machine with powder for both supplied. It was a nice touch to find fresh milk in the fridge with ample tea & coffee, there is even salt, pepper and oil for cooking should you need it. There is a really comfortable lounge great if you fancy a night in. We went to the Theatre Royal which is literally around the corner and on a freezing cold February night we were delighted to be back in the lovely & warm apartment within 10 min, also a checkout of 11a.m. was appreciated. Great welcome by the receptionist who walked us round to the apartment and showed us where everything was, there are very steep steps up to the front door not a problem for us but some guests might need to consider that, otherwise l can’t recommend The Loft highly enough (although l would really like to keep it a secret for myself).

    Stephanie2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is a fabulous apartment in a central location. It has everything you need to make it home from home. The photos do not do it justice. Melissa is a great host with lots of information before you arrive and the team at Harrington’s were great too.

    Nicola2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The listing is very good, the house is clean and the location is good but it is a bit difficult to find, there are more stairs in the room and it may not be suitable for elderly children

    Jinyu2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa’s place is lovely - perfect accommodation in the city centre that is steps from shopping, dining, the baths, and other sites. I rented this unit for my parents to get away for a few days, and they were not disappointed. They’ve never stayed in an AirBNB before, and have said they’re never going back to hotels!

  • A lovely place. It is as good as the pictures make you hope it will be. We had a great weekend and would come again. You need to be good at parallel parking though as the surrounding streets are really steep and narrow!

    Alice2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Brewhouse is a great Airbnb, stylish interior, very well-appointed and extremely comfortable. Brilliant location about 15 mins level walk from Milsom Street and city centre, 5 minutes from Larkhall Village and Kensington Meadow. I've previously stayed in the apartment too, both properties are excellent. My first choice for stays in Bath.

    Anna2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, beautifully renovated apartment, provided with great amenities and conveniently located. Just be aware of the fairly steep climb up to the apartment from the main road, for those who like getting around on foot as we do. We highly recommend Tina and Richard’s lovely place and would definitely stay there again.

    Gill2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A stylish and cosy place to stay. Two spacious double rooms. Extremely comfortable bed. Very clean and equipped with everything you would need. Close to the town centre. Richard was very helpful with check in, even lent me a rain coat for the weekend storm! Highly recommend

    Helena2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very nice! Cosy and clean. Love the style of the house and the neighborhood is really quite at night. The bed is super comfy! Had a great talk with Richard and Tina. They’re such great hosts.

  • Comfiest bed ever, struggled to get up in the mornings! Perfectly equipped kitchen with plenty of basics to get you started to cook a meal. Very cosy little home, great location - quiet but also close to city centre and free parking outside the front door. Would highly recommend!

A rare find! Our little Georgian townhouse with a modern twist. The entire 3 storey property on the doorstep of the city centre all to yourself (plus a small parking space - please see below) and garden . Perfect location for exploring the city. Warm and snug in winter. No need for buses or taxis. Approx. 5-10 mins flat walk to the heart of Bath, with renowned eateries, a micro gin distillery, lovely cafés, relaxing canal walks within minutes. Train and bus stations 5 mins (ish) walk.
The House: Please read the whole listing before booking, especially regarding parking. Thank you! Our little townhouse is a beautiful blend of old and new. Set on three floors linked by a stunning spiral stone staircase you will have the whole building to yourself. Through your own front door and lobby you walk into the well equipped cottage style kitchen diner, perfect for those who like to cook and those who love to eat! The kitchen door takes you out to your private SW facing garden with outdoor seating. Up the spiral stairs you find the bright and airy sitting room equipped with generous corner sofa (which can be converted to a sofa bed. If you wish to sleep separately - please note there is an additional £10 charge for this to cover extra costs based on a 2 person booking / occupancy) plus TV with a Firestick so you can access Netflix, your shelf of books to browse and plenty of space just to relax. And finally to the top floor with a large bathroom and a romantic, comfortable bedroom. The bed, as befits the age of the house, has a charming cast iron bed frame and is a standard British double bed (4'6" x 6'3" or 137cm x 190cm). Sadly we cannot accommodate children under 16 at this time. PARKING - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING ON-SITE: We are lucky enough to have a small parking space behind our house. Please note: It is big enough for a VW Golf sized car or smaller - no exceptions (up to 4.5m long & 1.85m wide - can be easily checked on line). *** If the weather is very icy or snowy this space is not accessible so you would only be able to park off-site. OFF SITE: You can usually park for free all day every day on a road called Perrymead about a 10-15 minute walk from us (first come, first served and very popular). You can also park for free on single yellow lines after 7 pm and in parking bays all day Sundays and on Bank Holidays. Car parks: There are several car parks in Bath which offer day rates of between £12-15 per day. Southgate parking is near the train station so minutes from the house. Options readily available online. Location: On your doorstep you have an award winning gastro pub, a handy supermarket open 7 - 11 pm every day, gorgeous local cafes and a stunning canal which offers some amazing walks. For those gin lovers amongst you there is a fabulous local distillery where you can tour and taste the beautiful botanical gins. You're also just around the corner from both rugby grounds and cricket. We are sure you’ll love the fact that you live practically in the centre but still get the village vibe, the canal, a llama paddock and breathtaking countryside just up the road. Cleaning Charge? None! Unlike many others we don't charge a cleaning fee. Why? Because we have been Airbnb guests on many occasions and we are respectful of other people's spaces - we are sure you will be too. Don't Want to Share a Bed? No problem. Please note that if there are only two of you staying and you'd like two separate beds (i.e. one bed and one sofa bed) there will be an extra charge of £10 to cover the additional laundry (as we are sure you will understand). Please let us know at the time of booking. Thanks. Included: We want you to be able to have a cuppa or two when you arrive so there is always tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, jam, oil and vinegar, condiments and a jar of biscuits. In the bathroom you'll find body wash, shampoo, cotton wool pads and yes, there is a hairdryer!
  • Great Space, despite it being a small space it was very comfortable with nice furniture, great natural lighting in to the property, short walk into the centre which was great for us as we saw a gig at the forum on one of the nights. I would not hesitate to book again in the future.

    William2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our recent stay at Jo & Mike’s beautiful Georgian house. Communication and location were excellent. We would highly recommend to any future guests.

    Peter2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for making our stay so comfortable. We loved the little touches like butter, jam, biscuits and coffee! It made it easier to get up and go each morning. The extra little blankets in the lounge were great to snuggle with each night and things like bathroom soap were very thoughtful. The bedroom was so cosy and comfortable, staying here for a long weekend was very relaxing. The little house is even better in person and we loved everything about it. Jo and Mike were perfect hosts.

    Angela2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • I can't recommend staying here enough! The house is absolutely stunning and has everything you need for a weekend away. The location is also perfect, just a short 10 minute walk from the station and super close to the city center. Jo & Mike were fabulous hosts - giving us lots of local recommendations for restaurants and bars. I'll definitely be coming back here when I come to bath next! Thanks very much Jo & Mike xx

  • Me and my boyfriend stayed for two nights here and is one of the best air bnbs we’ve stayed in. There was a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us, and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. A lovely outdoor seating area and comfortable lounging area inside. The kitchen had everything you need to cook in and comfortable bed. Brilliant distance from the centre and the location was lovely close to a small high street and a co-op corner shop. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and if we came to Bath again we would definitely stay here. Thanks for your hospitality :)

    Alicia2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house was absolutely gorgeous. Really lovely styling. It is in a good spot which is a short walk from bath. Very comfortable beds and very clean. • A charming, stylish, warm and large apartment that was perfect for all our needs. Richard was a great host and looked after us well, and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. The apartment is not in the centre of Bath and on a huge steep hill; positives: there were a coupe of great restaurants/pubs nearby for the evening we did not want to walk all the way to the centre, it took only 15 minutes to Walcot Street, there was great view from there and our legs are more toned for it! all good!!!

    Antonella2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

with a spacious kitchen - large open space dining/ social area You are less than a mile from the centre and have the Luxury of private parking which is highly sought after in Bath! This home has recently been decorated and it's the perfect escape in Bath
The house is “hen friendly” only tame hens are welcomed. This house is an original Victorian property that has been recently renovated to a high modern standard. The property is set over three stories and has a large open plan kitchen/ social area as well as a Separate dining area. There is plenty of space for up to seven guests. There is a modern garden that is a wonderful sun trap and of course that off street Parking not a permit where you have to fight for a spot if you can even find one! You have parking for on car but if you have two cars you can block yourself in on the road so can accommodate two cars. There house spans over three stories. The house is really versatile and works for both families and groups of freinds. The property is ideal for families or small groups of friends not fit for stag or hen weekends unless very TAME. The house is in a residential suburb and it's very important to us that we respect the neighbours and the local community, no anti- social or noise pollution will be tolerated. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with washing machine/ dryer /dishwasher . There is a large dinning table for guests. The kitchen has bi- folding doors leading onto the garden and a lovely seating area for warmer days.
Oldfield park is a busy suburb right on the edge on the city. It's home to moorland road which is full on independent cafes and restaurants as well as lots of shops if you want to stay local. Less than a five minutes there is a local Sainsbury's/ co-op/ threshers. Nail and beauty salons/ barbers/ The velo lounger serves food all throughout the day and cocktails too! The grumpy baker coffee shop As well as a lloyds and NatWest bank Just outside the house a few minutes walk is a large park (sandpits) for children. Perfect for families. We are also next to the two tunnels cycle path which links Bath perfect for cyclists/ walkers and runners Please Ensure this is the right location for you we love it so we are sure you will too but we are not smack bang in the centre just on the outskirts of the city centre as stated under 1mile it's an easy walk and fantastic public transport. parking in Bath is very tricky and expensive so we would advise to park locally

Central Bath Georgian Flat, park opposite, great views, 2 minutes from restaurants, shops, bars and cathedral and spa a few minutes further down beyond Milsom Street in this great historic spa city. A really comfy bed to return to. I don’t share the kitchen or sitting room, and no tea making facilities in the bedroom. The price for this location reflects this. You’re welcome to leave your luggage in the hallway on the day of check out.
2 min walk from the centre of historical Bath, opposite lovely park, and great views, light sunny flat. The bedroom is simple, minimalistic, shabby chic style with double bed and small clothes rail. Lovely views with sash windows. This property is over 200 years old. You may want to know that I wash the bedding myself and don't iron the bedding! :) This is a room in my home and the only one used for airbnb. The floorboards are old and painted white, with wood discoloration showing through. The space is this room and share of small bathroom. Breakfast not provided but great cafes within 2 mins walk.
Lovely park across the road, great old fashioned tiny pub across the road that has Irish music session every Friday evening, couple of minutes stroll into historical Bath, for shopping, museums, cafes, bars and art gallery's, and of course the thermal spa. This property is over 250 years old and full of character. I repaint the floorboards each season but they do get scuffed and marked as the season progresses :)
  • Easy walk into the city. Clear and comfortable room that is silent from any traffic noise. Lucy was warm and friendly.

    Keith2020-03-11T00:00:00Z

    Tom2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment in an ideal location for visiting Bath. Just a 20 min stroll through Victoria park into the centre. Jackie was an amazing host and was always available to help if we needed anything. A few lovely touches such as milk in the fridge, fresh croissants for breakfast and we were even given a nice bottle of prosecco. The wood burning stove was a nice way to keep toasty on some very cold winter nights and there was always plenty of fresh wood and kindling on hand. We would definitely reccomend staying here.

    Karl2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in this charming little spot in Bath. Jackie was very attentive and helpful during our visit and the lead up, the room was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a brief stay, and getting in and out of the town center was simple via a nice walk. We also appreciated the cookies and croissants and helpful brochures and guides full of things to do nearby. Definitely recommended!

  • We had such a lovely stay here in Bath - the place was clean and stylish and kept very warm and cosy despite the cold outside! Jackie was a great host and very attentive to answering any queries. Self check-in, very convenient, and the surroundings are very quiet, just a little turn, easy to go to the wrong intersection (may be our two idiots) but the location is good, very close to the bus, the train station, take the bus directly to the Roman Bath , About ten minutes! • This is a great property, ideally located in the center of Bath and only 5 minutes walk from the station. Robin met us on arrival and showed us through the apartment and gave some really useful tips for things to see and places to eat and drink. He was always responsive and could not have been more helpful both before and during our stay. The apartment has everything you need and is clean and comfortable and being right in the thick of the action, there is a bit of outside noise at the weekend but it doesn’t go on late and was never an issue for us. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

    Mike2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Flat close to the train station and all of the local attractions. Robin was a wonderful host, checking in with us along the way and giving us plenty of suggestions of things to do and see. We will definitely be back! Thanks Robin!

    Kellie2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you could choose the most central place in Bath, Robin’s apartment would have to be top of the list. It’s extremely old and charming, with creaking floorboards, enormous windows, a super comfy bed and it’s right beside everything! There is a little bit of street noise but you’re in a city so it’s only to be expected. Bring earplugs, turn up the radio or just stay out later...

    Aoife2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent little flat, perfect for a weekend getaway in Bath. Robin is also a great host and will give you all the local recommendations you need to make your stay extra special.

  • If great location's what you're after, it doesn't get much better than this! A stunning apartment and truly lovely hosts. Highly recommend Robin & Carol's place for a long weekend in Bath.

    Lucy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Robin’s place is perfect for a trip to Bath - everything we wanted to visit was no more than 10 minutes walk away, which was ideal. The apartment itself is very well kept, well equipped and comfortable. Robin kindly met us on arrival and gave us some really thoughtful recommendations - some of these places turned out to be the best part of our trip! Overall we couldn’t fault it - a great stay in a beautiful city.

    Alice2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The best thing about this place is the location! Right in the centre of bath, bar and restaurant next door, coffee shop round the corner and car park is a few minutes walk. Our en-suite attic room is perfect for couples or single travellers who want to be close to Bath City Centre. The room is very light with lots of windows and views over the local area, with lovely Victorian terraces. The city centre is a 20 minute walk or a short bus journey away.
Our house is in the Oldfield Park area of Bath. There is a bustling row of local shops 2 minutes away with bars, cafes and plenty of local shops.
  • Had a great 3 night stay here! The room itself was spacious and really bright. I was surprised at the amount of local amenities in a residential area, the co-op round the corner and Indian a few minutes walk away were perfect for us. James and his family were great hosts, and I’d check his availability first if ever back in Bath. Also excellent value for money.

  • I had this fantasy of living in a cozy attic room when I was younger. A window from where you can see breathe -taking view and sky full of stars, plies of books laying by the bedside, fairy lights and all. This place is exactly like that. I was so amazed and felt so blessed every morning waking up. The household is full of love and care too. The warm and homey atmosphere makes me feel safe and belonged. Even though Im a greedy human wanting to have the room just to be my room, O’well, I decided to be a bigger person and recommend it, highly!

  • Laura is a great host! She is very friendly and communicative. She can give you helpful advises about the city and the region. The room and house is as written in the description. The time at Laura's place has been wonderful. I highly recommend her and would book her Airbnb again.

  • Laura is a wonderful host and made me feel at home right away. I’ll definitely stay with her again if I am back in Bath!

  • Laura is a great host and made me feel very welcome! I stayed in Bath for a number of weeks and felt at home during my stay, able to come and go as I pleased. It felt like staying with friends rather than a stranger. The attic room was lovely and had enough space to store my clothes and suitcases. This size is perfect for one person who can manage a flight of stairs. There were clean towels, sheets and toiletries all ready and waiting which was great to find after a long journey. Laura’s home is beautiful with touches of her own style in the decoration. The house was always cosy and warm with plenty of hot water, much appreciated after long walks in the snow. The house is a short 15 minute walk into the city centre (which was perfect for me) and is next door to Royal Victoria Park. Laura’s home offered a great place to call home during my time in Bath and I’d highly recommend her as a host. I will definitely be back!

This lovely apartment is perfect for exploring the sights of Bath. The living room is spacious and light and the bed room sumptuous. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a supermarket just next door. A huge bonus is the free on street parking.
The 2nd floor apartment is perfect for couples looking for a wonderful getaway to Bath. Now with new 32" TV! The location is perfect for visitors wanting to explore the historic city of Bath and the surrounding countryside. The centre of Bath is just a 15 minute walk into the heart of the city, the walk in is via the London Road which is great for exploring Bath's renowned antique shops and the artisan shops of Walcot Street. The apartment also benefits from easy access to the stunning Kennet and Avon canal, which can be explored via a meadow at the rear of the apartment. Unusually for Bath, Kensington Place has free on street parking, as does Grosvenor Place just up the road so although parking isn't 100% guaranteed there are almost always spaces available. Locally there are a number of great pubs including the King William and The Beaufort. Morrison's supermarket is just 2 minutes away. The space consists of living room with dining table to enjoy any meals you wish to eat in the apartment, as well as TV and super comfy sofa, bedroom with double bed made up with fresh linen and a shower room. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster etc so perfect if you want to eat in. The apartment is self catering but we provide the basics like milk, tea, coffee etc.
For places to eat and drink we provide a list or our favourite places, however if you don't want to venture into the centre of the city the King William pub (which is excellent) and Nourish are both right on your doorstep. If you want to stay in and cook Morrison's supermarket (and 24 hour cash machine) is a 2 minute walk away. There is also a petrol station on the London Road. There is so much to see and do in Bath, the great thing about it is that as the city is so small you can see all the sights easily on foot. Some of the high points are the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Roman baths, the Abbey, the Holborne museum. The list is endless! The shopping is also great if you want to see quirky independents, for this I'd recommend Walcot Street, Bartlett Street and George Street. Larkhall: (a ‘village' centre in Bath) containing among other things, two convenience stores (McColl's and Co-op), a butchers, greengrocers, deli, pub and even a theatre, is just a 5 minute walk away (turn right outside the apartment, cross the road, take the second left up St Saviour's Road and keep going until you reach Larkhall). There is also easy access from the apartment onto the Kennet and Avon Canal path. You can head towards Bradford-on-Avon for a lovely walk and stop off at the George in at Bathampton Mill for refreshments! The apartment is off the main road into Bath, the bedroom does have secondary glazing so blocks a lot of the noise but please do expect some noise- it is a busy city after all!
  • Great place to stay and explore Bath. Comfortable accommodation with some nice touches from the host. Outside parking. Close to supermarket , local shops, restaurants and pubs. A twenty minute walk into Baths historic centre. Lots to explore in Bath or take time to relax at the thermal baths.

  • A beautifully decorated and very clean flat situated a 15/20min walk from the city centre. The views from the living room were beautiful and it’s location next to Morrison’s was very handy. Nice to explore an area just outside the city centre, great local fish and chip shop and King William pub within walking distance. Sanity Studio pottery was also close by and a very fun evening activity! Flat had everything we needed and the sofa was very comfy!!
