A dog-friendly tiny cabin in Baring with private outdoor living areas (hot tub!), a river across the road and mountain views as the backdrop. The perfect basecamp for hiking in the Cascades, tubing on the Skykomish River, rock climbing in Index, or skiing at Stevens Pass. Cozy and peaceful, this cabin is ideal for a romantic retreat, relaxing solo escape or remote work. Less than 30 mins from Stevens Pass, and an hour from the popular Bavarian town of Leavenworth!
The space
This cute "tiny house" style cabin in Baring is just under 30 minutes from skiing at Stevens Pass and 10-15 minutes from world-class hiking trailheads that lead to breathtaking waterfalls and serene alpine lakes. (PLEASE NOTE: The map view is correct, but the cabin is in Baring, not Gold Bar. Airbnb pulls in GPS coordinates tied to old post office boundaries.)
This cozy "tiny house" cabin is situated at the end of a quiet street with lots of surrounding green space. It sleeps two people, with one queen bed in the sleeping nook off the main living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and dishware—ready for you to cook! There is a coffeemaker and electric tea kettle waiting for you. We recommend taking a mug across the road and enjoying your morning coffee by the river. Our neighborhood has three community access points to the Skykomish River, and one of them is just across the street.
Back at the cabin, there is a spacious yard with a flagstone patio, chiminea and Adirondack chairs (the chiminea is not available for use during fire bans). In the fully fenced private courtyard, there is a dining area, a BBQ gas grill, outdoor shower (for use in the warmer months) and a hot tub. Lots of privacy!
In the separate utility shed on the property, guests have access to a washer and dryer. There is plenty of parking, and even space for an RV.
If you need to work while you're staying at the cabin, we have fiber internet. Great for video calls!
We are dog-friendly. Please tell us if you are bringing your dog. Maximum two dogs, since this is a small cabin. Dogs must be on leash in the community, and kept out of neighbors' properties.
Our cabin is located in a rural vacation home community, with a mix of part-time and full-time residents. We are located at the end of quiet cul-de-sac and back up to the forest. This is a beautiful PNW setting and we regularly see wildlife!
PLEASE NOTE: The map view is correct, but the cabin is in Baring, not Gold Bar. Airbnb pulls in GPS coordinates tied to old post office boundaries.
There is limited cell phone coverage in the neighborhood depending on your carrier, but we have fiber-optic internet so this makes for a great spot to work remotely too. We have a security system with a camera at the front door and on the driveway and on the back fence, facing away from the cabin.
In the winter months, the neighborhood is a plowed county road. The flat gravel driveway is cleared after major snowfall, however, all-wheel or a 4WD vehicle is HIGHLY recommended. Parking is prohibited on the neighborhood roads. For mountain pass info, visit the WSDOT website. Allow extra time for adverse road conditions.
We cannot provide last-minute refunds due to the weather. Please consider trip insurance if you think you might need to cancel last minute.
Commercial film and photography are not permitted on the premises without written permission.
