This house has it all. A spacious and comfortable place, nice and cozy and centrally located. A bus stop is 2 min. away and town center is 6 min. busride away. 15 minutes walking distance to the great thermal beach or the National Museum.

The space
This comfortable and spacious house is in the western, central part of Reykjavik, close to the University of Iceland. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom, as well as a washing room with clothes washer and dryer. The kitchen is big and has everything needed to make good food. The dining room can seat up to 10 people, and the living room has a door directly onto the porch with the barbeque. Take no notice of the domestic airport so close by, it is much quieter than many other parts of Reykjavik since no planes ever fly over the house!

Guest access
A very private porch, with a gas-barbeque, a table and chairs for 4 people, and a marquise which can be opened when convenient is at your disposal, as well as a small garden.

Other things to note
Linen, duvets and pillows are provided, as well as clean towels.

Reykjavík / Central West part, Capital Region, Iceland

The central location in an absolute plus. The neighbourhood is friendly and there is even a cozy restaurant 4 minutes away! Hop on the bus which stops 2 minutes away, and in 6 more minutes you are in town center with lots of cozy coffee shops and more restaurants. Or take a stroll along the oceanside, which is 2 min. away, walk for 15 minutes and you are at the thermal beach Icelanders just love. To walk to town center takes 15 - 20 minutes. The University of Iceland is 12 minutes away by foot. An outdoor heated swimming pool is in the neighborhood with jacuzzi hot tubs. For nature lovers, the oceanfront is nearby with a great footpath that runs a full circle around Reykjavik.

I make my living as a publisher of audiobooks and music, and am studying part time to also be able to work as a tourist-guide. In a different sphere of my life I used to work as a musician in folk-music bands and in rock-bands. Right now I am too lazy to play music, I love to meet friends and my husband and I like to travel and to meet people from different countries. I and he have been together 30 years now, recorded 11 CD's together and have grown quite used to each other :) We live in a beautiful house, and have made a part of it into an apartment for people like you. I love a good concert, a great meal at a restaurant with friends, going weekends to our cottage during the summer months, and to walk with our dog in Iceland´s nature. I find life a lot more fun and a lot more interesting after I became a born-again Christian. I and my husband are happy to accommodate guests, and will share tips on what to see and what to do while in Iceland. A barbeque-grill and table and chairs are on the porch in the garden, for your use as you like. I will do today what I can to enjoy life, tomorrow may be too late. Welcome!
