Dawn and her husband are great hosts and above that great people. If you'd like to know where to Go, what to do , and also what is tasty..just ask. And if you have the time for a coffee and a morning chat you should take them up on it for sure !

Dawn is a welcoming and gracious host who goes out of her way to make you feel like her home is your home too. We loved the coffee and eggs in the morning, her central location to many of the region's highlights, and her advice along the way.

Dawn was a wonderful hostess. The accommodations were as described, the house was very clean and well appointed with a great country home feel. It was a convenient distance to West Point, the reason for my travel. Dawn was more than willing to work around my challenging schedule and was genuinely concerned about my preparedness when the weather changed to rain that I wasn't prepared to handle. I feel bad that I wasn't able to say and chat for much more than a cup of coffee each morning. I will definitely look to book this room for future visits to the area.

Our stay with Dawn and Rich was truly amazing! They were very hospitable, friendly, generous, and extremely helpful. Accommodation was perfect for our weekend getaway to the Hudson Valley to celebrate my wife's birthday. From fresh eggs and coffee in the morning to evening talks about adventures around the world, we enjoyed our conversations. Listing is conveniently located only 10 minutes from Storm King Arts Center, 10 minutes to Front Street with restaurants with delicious food overlooking the river front. Location is also near the piers to Bannerman Castle which has a wonderful tour. We will definitey be back and will highly recommend to friends.

A lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley I became an independent real estate investor after a successful 20+ yr career in Brokerage. This gives me wonderful flexibility and travel, gardening, and great books are some of my hobbies. I also love to cook. I am a guest as well as a host. I have always preferred to stay like a local rather than in hotels where you meet mostly other tourists. I love the operas in Prague, the market in the Blessed Valley, the french quarter in the early morning and the hot sweet cacophany India. I want to get the feel of an area I am visiting, Airbnb is great for that. My hosts help me discover the treasures of an area I would probably have missed in a short stay and give me a home base to relax after a days exploring. I have a great husband, Richy, and 3 wonderful kids, who usually don't live at home (the kids that is) but visit often. We have 2 cats and some chickens and are open to well behaved friendly pet visitors. We love having guests and have always hosted. Family from out of town, exchange students that still come and bring their families , friends from other parts all have a home here. Richy is retired now and an avid hiker, writing a book on the Hudson Highlands, so if you like the natural beauty of the Hudson Highlands he is a wealth of information. We enjoy the opportunity of introducing to our area to others. Dia and Storm King Art Center are both nearby as well as West Point Military Academy and Woodbury Commons. The majestic Hudson is about 2 blocks away and there is a public park to launch boats there (Plum Point Park). We have kyacks and they can launch for free. It is about 1 hour to NYC. We are flexible and happy. Life is good!! We welcome your visit.
