We offer a versatile mix of accommodation styles in the grounds of our family home in a wonderful peaceful location in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This includes a self contained stylish guest suite, a comfortable shepherds hut and a glamping tent in a tranquil field with use of a field kitchen and BBQ fire pit area. This is perfect for family groups or 3 couples who want to get back to nature and relax. Historic sites and excellent walking routes are easily accessible.

The space
This secluded space within a 4 acre plot is a haven of peace and tranquillity and is a perfect holiday setting for family groups or 3 couples. Nestled in the Nadder Valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it will allow you to escape from the hustle and bustle and get back to nature and relax.

The accommodation is a versatile mix of our 3 existing listings on Airbnb: The Loft; The Hut and Glamping @ Lime Cottage, each offering a double bed. You will have sole use of the solar powered field kitchen and BBQ area to self cater and enjoy sundowners al fresco in total privacy. The kitchen has hot water on demand, a Belfast sink and a two-ring gas stove. The Kadai fire pit also doubles as a barbecue for outdoor living with a grill and cooking pot. The utility block also contains a gas fired shower and composting loo.

The cosy shepherd's hut measures 3.8m x 2m, has a comfy double bed, a modern log burning stove, solar powered lights and a USB socket. The modern 4m sq glamping bell tent has a wooden framed double bed and a USB socket. The Loft is a warm, comfortable and stylishly decorated studio guest suite located above our garage with a private raised sundeck.

Access is via a private lane and there’s parking and Wifi on-site. We provide a welcome drinks pack with tea, coffee & milk. Overall, this is a magical place to hole up, step off the treadmill, dream, stargaze and recuperate.

Where you’ll be

Tisbury, England, United Kingdom

Our home is in the famously attractive undulating countryside of the Nadder Valley, part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Dorset/Wiltshire border. We are five minutes drive from Tisbury, described by The Times as one of the top 10 villages in which to live. The village offers a range of independent shops and boutiques, a tearoom, a coffee shop and a host of award winning pubs. Many of these pubs can be walked to, including the highly acclaimed Beckford Arms - which you will need to book in advance. We recommend you bring your wellies to test out some of these walks. Tisbury is also home to Messums Wiltshire, a contemporary arts centre housed in an ancient thatched barn.

Tisbury is just 10 minutes off the A303, and once you are here local towns are within easy access. You are 15 minutes from Shaftesbury, home of the famous Gold Hill, and 20 minutes’ drive from Salisbury where you can see Stonehenge, Old Sarum and the 123m cathedral spire, particularly famous in Russia. Tisbury station is also on the main south-west trainline from London to Exeter.

Nearby attractions include Stonehenge, Stourhead, Longleat safari park and the Jurassic coast including Durdle Door and Lulworth cove.

My husband and I have lived in the area for about 15 years. We both now work from home, and having used airbnb for travelling ourselves we thought it was time to start hosting and sharing our wonderful space.
We may or may not be around during your stay - if we are away, then we're either in London for meetings or in the mountains skiing or walking!
