Some of the 3-bedroom residences also boast spectacular views towards the sea. Two bedrooms have a king size bed while the other room has two double beds, all rooms have full bathrooms in the suite. The residence has a full kitchen that includes electric grill, oven, microwave.

The space
Sunset spreads its rays over rocks and ocean in front of this ’70s-chic, newly built residence at El Careyes Club. The area is known for its boho energy, and this villa carries on that tradition with its breezy, doors-at-both-ends layout and art-filled interiors. It’s steps from the open-air on-site restaurant, La Duna, where you’ll want to start with breakfast and return for guacamole at lunch.

The villa is bookended by 2 private terraces with sitting and dining areas where you can relax or plan the day’s adventures. Walk down to the beach club to stretch out on a lounger and set off by kayak or paddleboard, then move to one of the 5 west-facing infinity pools to catch the sunset.

Bold colors and organic shapes have long been hallmarks of Careyes design, and this villa’s juicy pink walls complement the green of the tropical forest. The great room and 3 bedrooms are laid out so all of them open to a terrace, and rattan rugs and local woods lend even more natural warmth to the sitting area, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen.

Those in the know, know that this stretch of Mexico’s Pacific coast is a hotbed of art, architecture, and cuisine. Ask other visitors about their favorite “wonders,” or open-air art installations, take a boat tour of the coast to spot houses perched on the hills, and try local restaurants like Playa Rosa Beach Club and Casa de Nada for made-fresh Mexican and Mediterranean-influenced fare.
