Nestled in the foothills of the picturesque Otway Ranges and only 15 mins from Colac, PARDOO COTTAGE is part of a working farm.

Ideally situated as an exploration base for Forrest - mountain bike capital; Birregurra - home to Brae; Otway Fly (zip lining among ancient tree ferns and rainforest) .... all and MORE are within a 30mins drive.

We are also under an hour’s drive from the Great Ocean Road areas of Lorne, Apollo Bay and the Twelve Apostles.*

The space
This quaint cottage was an old loggers hut, now transformed into a fresh and comfortably modern space. Surrounded by its own lawned garden and then farm paddocks, the cottage’s back doors open onto a large entertaining deck (Weber Q bbq and outdoor dining) - perfect for gorgeous sunset views over native bushland.

It is often chilly up here so we invite our guests to use the enclosed fireplace (which will be pre-set for you). Electric heaters are also available and the bathroom has the added luxury of heat lamps.

A few delicious local produce items will be waiting for you also.

Guest access
We ask guests to stay to the ample garden space surrounding the cottage as Pardoo is a working farm.

Other things to note
While pets are welcome please bring their own bedding (food bowls supplied) and be aware, there is no locked gate and the garden lies open to the cottage and farm driveways.

Barongarook West, Victoria, Australia

Pardoo Cottage is perfectly located to explore the magnificent Otway Ranges and the Great Ocean Road is only a little farther on.

Within 35mins are the very top of the Otways and the tree top, zip-lining adventure of the Otway Fly; hiking trails to waterfalls and lakes amongst splendid, often ancient, tree ferns, mountain ash and rain forest; top mountain biking trails at Forrest (followed by a stop at the Forrest Brewery for food and drink); and where the serious foodies go, Brae at Birregurra.

15 mins back down onto the plains lies the bustling small city of Colac - see its fabulous 19th Century Botanic Gardens overlooking Lake Colac - itself part of the volcanic lakes and crater district on the Geowinka Geological Trail.

An easy yet often epic 1hr drive from Pardoo Cottage are the Great Ocean Rd surf and tourist towns of Lorne and Apollo Bay and the more rugged Twelve Apostles/Shipwreck Coast.*

Just pick your direction on any given day!
