Casita Rosada is a converted artist's studio in the Tucson Mountain foothills surrounded by native desert vegetation yet only 15 minutes from downtown. A bright, spacious interior decorated in the Southwest tradition, twelve foot ceilings, comfy chairs, and a pillow-top queen bed make it your ideal home away from home. Have coffee on the porch and watch the sunrise, observe wildlife, gaze at the mountains, and view the city lights each night. Hiking trails and bike paths are both within a mile.

The space

Five minutes off I-10, 25 minutes to the airport, 15 minutes to downtown and the UA. Free, off-street parking. Adjacent to Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park (West). Private casita, separate from the main house with well equipped kitchenette, outdoor propane grill and covered patio. A true "Tucson" experience with bits of Native American, Southwest, and ranch culture decorating the Casita. The Casita is approximately 600 sq ft in total with an open bedroom/ living room / kitchen floor plan. There is a separate full bathroom and closet. The covered porch faces east and is the perfect spot for morning coffee.

In addition to leisure travelers, great for business and extended stays with fast, free Wi-Fi, a separate closet big enough to store luggage, and a desk suitable for a laptop, complete with multiple USB charging ports.

ADA Access
The parking lot is gravel and on a grade. Therefore, we strongly advise movement impaired guests to consider their ability to access the casita. There is also a good 4 inch step up from the porch to enter the casita. Once inside, the casita is all one level. We do NOT have grab bars at the toilet, and to use the shower you have to step into the tub.

Casita Rosada is in the Tucson Mountain foothills. Desert vegetation (and critters) surround the casita. Please remember, the desert is uniquely beautiful, but most plants and animals here sting, bite, have thorns or are just not happy to interact with humans. We want your stay to be pleasant, so please always wear shoes when outside and give the critters and cacti plenty of room.
Hiking/biking trails are nearby and easily accessible.
