1) I will start by saying this was my first Airbnb experience, and I was the first guest for my host Nadine. There was a certain amount of apprehension before arriving, but that disappeared immediately after meeting Nadine and seeing my "casita" (little house). The room and kitchenette were spotless, as was the full bathroom with floor to ceiling tile. The room was tastefully decorated, and the walk-in closet could fit several suitcases full of clothes in it. There was a bowl of fruit, which I appreciated, and other snacks as well. There was a bottle of wine and nice selection of reading material as well.
2) The view outside was amazing as well. A large pool was right outside the room, and next to that a very nice patio with lounge chairs, table, and hammock. A small waterfall would run occasionally when I was there, and it created a wonderful ambience as it cascaded into the pool. There were flowers, fruit trees, palm trees, and even a huge basil plant (tasted great!) growing around the perimeter of the patio area. There was a private entrace and a fence around the entire patio.
3) Nadine and her husband were gracious hosts and I'm glad they invited me into their home! I had my GPS, but they were helpful with directions whenever necessary. When our schedules allowed, we had some wonderful conversations on the patio or at a local pizza place called Pieology. They had planned a short hiking trip to the Santa Rosa Plateau in Murrieta and asked if I wanted to come along. We drove separately because I wanted to do some serious hiking that day. Well, 16 miles and one blister later, it was the highlight of my trip to Temecula! I encourage everybody visiting the area to check it out. I look forward to my next trip to Temecula..., and hopefully their casita won't be booked!
