Our stylish 19th Century apartment is the perfect base for you to stay in Edinburgh during the festival period. Ideally situated in the Polwarth/Bruntsfield area, we are just a 10 minute bus ride to Princes Street, the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, or alternatively you could take a stroll across the Meadows or along the Union Canal. At Fountainpark 1 minute around the corner, you will find amenities including a cinema, bowling, trampoline park, restaurants and bars.

The space
Built in the 1890s our traditional apartment boasts high ceilings and original wooden floors. South-westerly facing, our bright, airy and peaceful apartment is the perfect home away from home.

The King size pocket sprung bed and light summer duvet ensure a great night's sleep, while the Sonos speakers allow you to soundtrack your mornings. With a built in wardrobe and chest of drawers, you won't run out of storage space.

The living area features a comfy corner sofa, original fireplace and a cosy dining area with a keyboard for any music lovers. The Sonos system extends from the bedroom into the living room and our TV includes Netflix so you can enjoy a movie night.

The kitchen (though 'wee') has all the amenities you need. Enjoy a coffee in the morning using our Nespresso machine. There is a well-stocked corner shop nearby and also Margiotta's Deli a few minutes walk away.

We have stayed in many Airbnbs during our time travelling and know how important the small things are!

Guest access
The entire apartment will be yours for the duration of your stay. The apartment is within a Victorian tenement so has a shared entrance and is accessed via one flight of stairs.

Other things to note
Neighbours
We are within a Tenement building and we would ask that you respect our neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum between the hours of 10pm and 8am. Likewise, due to the nature and age of the building you may hear occasional movement from our neighbours as well.

Parking
Parking is free at weekends and from 5:30pm to 8:30am during the week.

Additional parking at nearby Harrison Park is always free and is less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

As mentioned, the Fountainpark amenities round the corner from us include bowling etc. If you walk into Bruntsfield, you will be greeted with an array of coffee shops (Project Coffee is our personal favourite), bars (Montpeliers have a good choice of draft beer and cocktails), restaurants (try The Apartment for fresh Scottish fayre or Tom Kitchin's latest venture, Southside Scran) and shops (I can't leave 'Curioser and Curioser' without buying something).

Now based in Edinburgh, I hung up my Osprey a few years ago after travelling to Australia, NZ and SE Asia. Having had some amazing experiences and hospitality with Airbnb during our own travels, my partner and I enjoy remaining part of the community when we can by welcoming guests to our home too and returning the hospitality :) We're always on the look out for the next adventure, and enjoy meeting friendly faces & swapping stories. Happy to help with recommendations for your trip to our beautiful city!
