Cosy old Irish cottage; situated in the northeast corner of County Louth, midway between Belfast and Dublin. In the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty, with many fascinating historic sites to visit.
Close to the seaside village Carlingford which is renowned for its array of restaurants, bars and activities.
The cottage itself sits at the foot of Sliabh Foy Mountain; surrounded by wildflower fields, a river, a small fruit tree orchard and in Springtime an abundance of wild garlic.

The space
Entire cottage available for bookings.

One double bedroom with a walk in wardrobe area where hangers and drawers are available. There is also a small pull out futon bed at the bottom of the double bed, that could fit up to 2 small children. But does stop the bedroom door from opening fully when used as a bed!

A comfortable living area with a double sofa bed and another sofa. A large selection of CDs, DVDs and books along with CD player and radio. There is also a wood burning stove, with fire wood available to burn.

The kitchen has a table for four, an oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine and sink utilities. In the kitchen there is also a book swap for you to take and leave a book for other guests to read. Fresh coffee will always be available to use in the espresso pot or filter machine. There will also be bottled water for guests to drink as the tap water is not drinkable.

The bathroom is rather small. It has a toilet, a shower and there will always be some toiletries available with a fesh set of towels per guest.

There is quite a lot of room around the cottage with a BBQ available (if there isnt charcoal in the shed, just ask!) and a seating area to lounge out in the sun, when the sun does make an appearance. Or take your morning coffee or glass of wine out and just enjoy the scenery!

Guest access
-For more photos and videos, please find us on Instagram: @eirebnb_omeath

Guests can access all that is available in the cottage.

All that is asked is that the cottage is treated with respect and everything that is used is cleaned and stays in the cottage once you depart.

Rubbish and recycling bins can be found at the main house.

Laundry service is available upon request for a nominal fee.

Baby carriers for hire with babywearing consultant available for expert fitting advice if needed.

Other things to note
Spending time outdoors can be a great way to commune with nature and forget all of the real life problems that are weighing you down. Bring along a few friends, and take in the wonder and majesty of the Cooley Peninsula.

If you are a traveller looking for a lush, lavish, and luxurious accommodation, we are probably not best suited for you.

I'll do as much or as little as needed to ensure you thoroughly enjoy your stay at my cosy cottage! Please read the full description before booking my cottage, thank you!
During your stay
Our home house is just over a small bridge so if you want to chat or have a drink just drop a text! Or if you ever see my grandparents Séamus and Eithne on your travels around the grounds feel free to stop and have a chat. They have lived in Omeath for a good few years and have a pretty extensive knowledge about the area and its history!

I drive as well so if I am available I can provide a taxi service into Carlingford or the surrounding area.

If there's anything at all that I can do to make your stay more enjoyable please let me know via phone call, text, or Airbnb message.

I have extensively explored the surrounding area, so if you are unsure as to what to do just ask!
