Good Morning Cecily, glad you enjoyed our stay at Due Fratelli's, as we continuously strive to do our best in order exceed our guests expectation.
However there are minor things that I have to disagree with you, in regards with the additional payment it is completely in line with the airBnB policy as it clearly states "If you determine that you need to collect tax, you can usually either add it within a Special Offer or ask your guests to pay it in person. In each case, it's important that guests are informed of the exact tax amount prior to booking. If you choose to collect tax outside of your listing's rates, please note that it should be collected only upon arrival and that we are unable to assist with collection." We do not include it primarily as it is a variable and secondly if we do than our guests will have to pay an additional Airbnb service fee on top of that.
It is clearly listed in our listing on "other things to note" and also you have been notified in advance by message and had a chance to cancel your booking, however you did not. Taxes and surcharges added up to €5.85p.p.p.n and I believed that this issue was resolved and understood with you before your arrival.
Also one have to note that it is a self catered apartment and we do not offer cooking ingredients, even though we have not been asked by your part, as we tend to even go that extra mile with our guests in case they need something else, like picking you up from the airport free of charge and when TV channels were lost we came on the same day.
Regarding the hair dryer I have spoken to your friend Claire and she had to get back to me again if you wouldn't manage, as we wouldn't have had a problem in bringing you one.
In the mean time I'm glad you took some of our suggestions in your stay and enjoyed diving in the Maltese Islands. :)
Once again thank you for your stray at Due Fratelli.
