This is a simple and tidy room in a big beautiful old house on a quiet street in Newburgh. The street is wooded on one side and overlooks the Hudson. It's walking distance to cafes and restaurants. It's a great place to stay if you're in the area!

Response from Alison:
The show was great. Thanks again. Sorry woke you so early. Larry was supposed to go rowing on Hudson and forgot about daylight savings. Thanks for great review and best to you both.

If you are looking for a quite, beautiful place to stay in Newburgh, this is it! Alison and Larry are wonderful hosts, very hospitable, easy-going and knowledgable. We felt like home, the check-in, stay and check-out were smooth and pleasant. We very much appreciated their tips about what to do in an around the town. Alison was also very kind to offer us a ride, as we did not have a car with us. We highly recommend to stay here!

I decided to go on a trip for Dia:Beacon & Hudson River and It was great to stay Alison's place. It was cosy and comfortable. Larry was very nice and considerate. You can relax at backyard / porch, there are restaurants and bars, but you might need a car or taxi. I took a taxi to Dia:Beacon, it cost $12+1.50 (toll). There is a place for kayaking too. It was my first time to try Airbnb, it was great experience.

Alison's home is perfectly situated for visits to Storm King and Dia:Beacon. Alison is very friendly and a clear communicator, and she is super knowledgeable about restaurants and cafes in the area. This was our final stop on a road trip from Chicago to New York, and it worked out perfectly.
