Foresters Cottage is a delightfully refurbished semi-detached cottage in Satterthwaite, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. This finely finished 3-bedroom cottage in lush countryside offers a perfect spot for a family holiday exploring the Lake District, set as it is between Windermere and Coniston Water. On the ground floor is a comfortable open plan sitting area, where you can sit back and relax in front of the TV or pluck a book from the well-stocked shelves in the dining area whilst looking out to the stunning Cumbrian countryside. If you fancy a meal at home, the kitchen is amply equipped to keep the whole family catered for. Sleeping accommodation is all on the first floor. Here you will find a master double and two additional doubles, one with zip/link beds and one with its bed cosily nestled against the wall. The cottage really comes into its own for outside space. The surrounding countryside is breath-taking, but the cottage itself offers a huge private lawned area around three sides of the property. Satterthwaite is a small village but still has its own pub, and further amenities are available just a ten-minute drive northwards to Hawkshead. There are many activities around in keeping with the attraction of the Lake District. Fishing, hiking, cycling and water sports are all options around the Lakes, with walks through Grizedale Forest and its Go Ape adventures nearby, while more leisurely cruises on Windermere can be enjoyed a little further afield. Situated in peaceful countryside, Foresters Cottage makes an ideal spot for a family to take a restful break or a holiday of exploration of the beauties of the Lake District.
