- No TV or WIFI There’s great 4G signal though if you want to stream a movie on your phone/tablet. There are plug sockets.
- No lighting along the path to the hut. This is because there are lots of owls and bats here and the lights make it hard for them to hunt.

THINGS TO DO AT THE FARM:
All bookable via the website (Search ‘Cronkshaw Fold Farm’).

We're a working farm that is not open to the public. It is not safe or permitted to wander about without a guide - we don't want to squish you with a tractor! We love showing visitors around so if you would like to see more of the farm you can book a farm experience via our website. Choose between:

-Farm Tours:
Join our experienced farm staff and meet the goats, hens, sheep and feed the animals their breakfast/supper, collect eggs, check the sheep, groom the goats and more.

- Goat Yoga:
A 90-minute Goats and Yoga bit of nuttiness. Do yoga. But in a goat pen. £25 per person.

We are a simple rural escape for folks wanting to get away from it all and live uninterrupted, enjoy your own/each other’s company and take in some beautiful English countryside.

*Don't forget to bring your welly boots!*

CHECK IN:
Check in is any time from 3pm onwards. We have a key safe so you can arrive whatever time suits you.

Guests who will be arriving at the farm in the dark/ in winter who aren't keen on navigating in low light should bring a torch to find your way to the hut as the path to it is unlit. This is because we have an abundance of rare wildlife on the farm including bats and owls (which you will likely see) which need the dark to be best able to hunt for their dinner.

Guest access
The Shepherd's Hut has a terrace and a large outdoor area with 2 hammocks, a campfire pit, an outdoor bench and an outdoor, food prep table next to the campfire - perfect for preparing s'mores!

The WC is a 1-minute walk away from the hut.

Once you've booked, 3 days before your stay, Airbnb will give you access to the check-in guide with descriptions on where to find the key safe and the code to access the key for the door. We will also send this to you as a message via Airbnb Messages on the morning of your arrival day. We will also send an album of photos of maps of where the local hiking trails are.

Hello! Welcome to Cronkshaw Fold Farm, an hour North of Manchester, England. We (Dot - that's me - I run the farm, my small team of awesome farm staff and my retired parents - a farmer and a computer engineer) have a handful of unique, quirky accommodations here which are helping us earn additional revenue through having guests to stay. We are saving up for solar panels, a wind turbine, switching out diesel farm machinery for electric and converting our current farming practices to lower carbon alternatives. Every penny you spend here helps us reach these goals quicker, so thank you for considering us. Our aim is that guests here can have as low an environmental impact as possible when holidaying with us. From washing bed linens in eco-only detergents purchased from our local single use plastic free shops (of which we are lucky enough to have TWO!) to upcycling all the accommodation furniture, fixtures and fittings. We do everything we can think of to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We’re currently working on installing Tesla charging points for our guests so those with electric cars can easily charge on site, too. Choose from our Shepherd's Hut, The Old Farm Office, Coven Treehouse and Alden Woodland Yurt. We also have a spring water filtered hot tub that can be booked separately as can breakfast hampers, farm tours and more. Nosey at us online by searching 'Cronkshaw' if you want to find out more about our farm.
