Intimate detached house in typical Aeolian architecture, including all comforts with a pleasant sea view, immersed in a huge garden. 5 minutes (by car or scooter) from the sea and the main commercial activities. You will find peace and tranquility even in the high tourist season. Beds: 1 double bed, 1 single bed, possibility of placing two cots 0/3 years and a single folding bed.

The space
Surrounded by large Mediterranean gardens the 2 cottages of casa Scirocco have been restored in the typical Eolian style to a very high standard. The large terrace of the very traditional Casa glicine is overgrown with wisteria. Casa limone pleases with a fantastic roof terrace. The gardens contain a variety of typical plants and there are a lot of superb panoramic views. Just the proprietor's cottage is sharing this large property. All the cottages are individual and completely separate from each other. The next road is a very quiet one which ends at the monastery 'Pirrera'. There is a private road to the cottages. Canneto beach and the historic town centre of Lipari are about 2 miles away. Bus transfer 3 times a day. Walking about 40 minutes. Cars, scooters etc. can be rented at Lipari or Canneto, special offers (optional): 'bring and pick up service' as agreed. Guided tours to all the islands by the proprietor (specially trained guide). There are private parking spaces.

Casa Scirocco Limone is the original about 100 years old cottage which is situated in a large Mediterranean garden - restored in the typical Eolian style to a very high standard - comfortable for 2 to 3 persons. There is a spacious bathroom. The large terrace is overgrown with wisteria and bougainvillea. The gardens contain a variety of typical plants and there are a lot of superb panoramic views. Just the proprietor's cottage and Casa Scirocco Glicine are sharing this large propriety. The cottages are individual and completely separate from each other. The next road is a very quiet one which ends at the monastry of Pirrera. There is a private road to the cottage. Canneto beach and the historic town centre of Lipari are about 2 miles away. Bus transfer 3 times a day. Walking about 40 minutes. Cars, scooters etc. can be rented at Lipari or Canneto. We can recommend very much to rent a scooter.

Ecological / Rural Tourism: The casa Scirocco wants to give the feeling of a soft, natural and rural tourism. The fruits of the organically farmed garden (capers, cucunce - the fruits of the caper's flower - lemons, oranges, apricots, mulberries, olives etc.) can be picked up moderately by the guests as well. If you need special recipes there will be no problem. We have made the experience that our guests feel themselves at home very soon. Casa Glicine and Casa Limone are in the neighbourhood united by the gardens. So it's a perfect situation for the stay of 2 couples or 2 families being friends.

Except the month of August you don't find mass-tourism. Lipari Island has got about 8000 inhabitants and Lipari town is of course always the lively and cultural heart of all the islands.
But there is still the quiet and nearly unsettled Lipari where you can feel united with nature. The hot thermal water and the steaming fumaroles let you know the special ambience.

And so is the casa Scirocco which wants to combine naturalness, comfort and hospitality for its guests. For special experiences we recommend guided walking tours (to all the islands) - also at night. Totani-fishing at night or the different boat-trips.

My name is Alice, I was born in Lipari, and I live and work in Rome. Casa Scirocco is the result of my father's work who has dedicated his whole life to him. Together with my partner William, we carry out this project with love, respecting the philosophy of the place. The houses of Casa Scirocco have been designed to welcome guests in the most total tranquility, they give privacy and serenity thanks to the very close contact with nature, but without missing any type of comfort.
