With guided, professional instruction, you'll have a fun and creative time making an item out of clay on a pottery wheel. I will show you how to work with the clay, get it ready for the wheel, center it, and eventually start shaping. Usually students can make either a small bowl, plate, mug or vase on their first try. You will get up to 30 minutes of time on the wheel which is plenty to create one item, and then you can add accents to your piece i.e. handle and you'll get to handbuild for the remainder of the time (add accents to your piece). You can take the pottery home with you the same day you make them, or—if you'd like—I can fire your work, glaze it, and ship it to you for a small fee. In this workshop you will learn the fundamentals of forging - sculpting hot metal with a hammer and anvil as you create your own custom iron hook or small ornament! Our Moon Light Guided Glow Paddle is a fun and lighthearted experience! We Light up The Night Under The Moonlight! Deck out your Paddle Boards with all the Provided Glow Gear before we launch into the water. Once we get your familiar with your gear and paddle board. We will launch into the water and begin our journey down the Creek at Sunset. Journeying at a very leisurely pace. There are many types of birds, turtles, fish and frogs that we may see. Several Blue Heron live in this area as well! There will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take pictures along the way. Once the sun is fully set your entire paddle board becomes a floating Glow Vessel. This is where the fun really gets LIT! Paddling under the Moonlight is a wonderful and liberating experience. Take a breathtaking helicopter flight over Niagara Falls. This wonder of the world is a magnificent curtain of falling water that straddles the border between Canada and the USA. During the flight, you will fly over the Niagara River, spend a few minutes over the falls on both the US and Canada sides, and see a waterfall like no other. The actual flight time is 9-10 minutes long (about 12-15 minutes including boarding and de-boarding time). However, we book these in 1-hour slots. After the flight, you will receive a certificate of flight. You can choose any time on the day of your booking, subject to availability and good weather. Please join us on this passion-fueled, War of 1812 Battlefield as we explore the Lundy's Lane National Historic Site, early cemetary and local heritage museum. On to the battlefield ready to experience a little more Niagara this time around through first-hand exploration. There are revolutions, war, monarchies, Georgian hijinks and Victorian tourist schemes to be fought over. Another rebellion and the soft glow of hydro-electric mayhem soon follows. All this and more as we walk in the footsteps of First Nations, soldiers, scammers & innocents caught in between this battlefield. We visit the families displaced by this pivotal battle piecing together a local's perspective through meeting these larger-than-life, early residents. Our walk finishes in our local museum, corroborating my tall tales and gluing the final pieces together.
