The newly built wooden chalet was completed with a lot of love for detail in March 2024. It was built in a modern style and meets the highest energy requirements. The path from your own parking space, through the house, to the covered veranda with new, electrically heated hot tub was designed at ground level. Inside you can make yourself comfortable with the wood-burning stove and your own sauna (free of charge). The National Park cycling path and beautiful hiking trails are within walking distance.

Welcome to Rodlhaus GruBÄR! The wood-burning stove in the living and dining area provides cozy warmth. The very well equipped kitchen invites you to cook. From the balcony you can look into the nature reserve and have direct access to the large toboggan. On the top floor you will find cozy sleeping places. You can relax in the barrel sauna in the garden or in the hammock with a view. Coffee machine: Tschibo Cafissimo Various sauna infusion oils are available. We look forward to seeing you :)

Spacy apartment near the Danube Valley

Our apartment is located in the beautiful village of Niederkappel, up in the heights of the Mühlviertel right behind the Danube Valley between Passau and Linz. Important information for bikers traveling on the Danube cycle path: From the Danube banks (Obermühl) it's a 3km steep, exhausting climb up to Niederkappel. If you are fit enough for that, you are very welcome to stay at our place. The views down onto the Danube will compensate for the efforts.

For riding enthusiasts, a wide variety of ponies and horses, suitable for beginners or demanding, are available. Relaxed atmosphere (the farm is also being renovated). The new wooden block building, built in traditional architecture and insulated with sheep wool, is located in the idyllic lakes and Salzkammergut area near the Salzburgring. The bus stop towards Salzburg or Bad Ischl is only a 7-minute walk away. From here you can reach all sights or excursion destinations in about half an hour.

Medieval tower built in 1505 as a city fortification. Very unique experience, only few of them in the world used as accommodation. The tower was totaly renovated in summer 2016 with 21st century standards, and it's standing just 200 meters from the Cesky Krumlov castle.
