Chalet Salamandre

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rental.

The 1700's 'Mountain Village Studio' in Nohèdes (990m alt.) has been fully restored in 2021 with a contemporary interior design overlooking the village square of Nohèdes with stunning views of the valley and mountains. The location with a small terrace ensures a quiet and peaceful setting. There are great hiking opportunities into the Natural Reserve of Nohèdes with it's 4 lakes and stunning views of the Pyrenées mountains and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.

From here you can visit Quillan and its lake, the mysterious Rennes-le-Chateau, the lake and castle of Puivert, the stunning castle of Montsegur, an impressive sight nestled high on a rocky hilltop.

The Secret Garden

Our Garden Rooms are the Summer bedrooms of the house. Traditionally the family would move to the ground floor during the hotter months. The Apartment retains all of the original features, fireplace, high ceilings and crown mouldings give the place a lovely relaxing feeling of grandeur and a by gone era. With direct access to the gardens and pool you'll enjoy the 300 days of sunshine the Aude region receives every year.

We will be happy to welcome you to this unique and tranquil place, located at the foot of the ramparts, close to the city center and access to all amenities, in the heart of the tourist district. Recently restored and equipped with all amenities, also a hot tub, you can enjoy a real relaxing moment with stunning views of the medieval city of Carcassonne. The capacity is 4 people. Booking is possible from 2 people.

After putting your suitcases in our little haven of peace, you can discover our beautiful region. Located 2 minutes' drive from the medieval city and 5 minutes from the city center, you can leave our small hamlet at your leisure to go to the banks of the Canal du Midi, relax on the beaches of Lake Cavayère or hike on the trails of the Black Mountain.
