Cozy sauna cottage in Lapland

Atmospheric sauna cottage (22m²) in the countryside. Escape from everyday life, enjoy the peace and quiet of a cottage located in the yard of our house, but completely in your own peace. A comfortable 160 cm wide bed offers space for two adults. Heat your own wood-fired sauna, relax on the terrace or by the campfire on a laavu. Admire the starry sky or the northern lights far from the city lights. On a winter morning, you can walk on beautiful snowy forest trails, listen to the silence of nature, and breathe in the fresh air.

A cute little cabin for two people in a magical forest, on a private plot by a beautiful lake near by host home. A sauna is heated for guests every evening. Cabin is ideal for guests who are looking for peace and quiet and distance from the hustle and bustle of the city and the light pollution, but are within driving distance of many of the places to visit. Cabin is located about 45min drive from Rovaniemi. The cabin gives guests a peek into local lifestyle and offers authentic cabin experience

Lapland cabin by a lake

This small, traditional, Lappish log cabin is located right at lake Norvajärvi , only some steps to the water (or ice in winter). Enjoy the lake view and forest around you, immerse to the nature and its sounds and smells, marvel the northern lights and cosy up by the open fire. Cabin has electricity but no running water. We bring drinking water in containers and washing water to sauna is taken from the sweet water lake. We are 20km from Rovaniemi city, apprx 30min drive -with no street lights.

Sonka Resort – Mirror House • Lake View

Sonka Resort’s Mirror Houses are set by a frozen lake, surrounded by forest and open sky. Each cabin has a mirrored exterior for privacy, a lake-view glass wall, double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom, Wi-Fi, and a projector screen. Local breakfast is available on request with at least three days’ notice. With several BBQ kotas on the premises, guests can enjoy outdoor cooking anytime. Igloo saunas and hot tubs are available to book. A quiet Lapland escape under the northern lights.

Welcome to Ollero Eco Lodge – a private riverside retreat on the Arctic Circle near Rovaniemi. The entire property is reserved for one group at a time, ensuring full privacy. The lodge sleeps up to 6 guests (8 with extra beds) in three buildings. Only 10 minutes from Rovaniemi centre, yet surrounded by forest, river and minimal light pollution – ideal for Northern Lights viewing in season. Enjoy Finnish sauna and, in winter, a refreshing dip in the frozen river for a true Arctic experience.

Kultasärkkä

Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee. Ternu Forestvilla

You can enjoy the nature and scenery to the river during your stay. While you are enjoying the sauna or outdoor jacuzzi, you might have chance to see the northern lights. This mini house can accommodate 4 people comfortably but we have beds even for 6. It has full kitchen and living room with windows facing river, sauna, shower, toilet and two bedrooms with big windows facing the forest. Outside it has two spacious terrace's, one with jacuzzi. The building has just been completed.

Arctic Heather Hideaway

Arctic Heather Hideaway is a peaceful 21.5 m² guesthouse just 10 km from Rovaniemi center and 6 km from Santa Claus Village and Rovaniemi Airport. It offers a cozy living area with a double bed, light kitchenette, and private bathroom. Guests can relax in a traditional wood-heated sauna prepared by the hosts. The safe and quiet surroundings let you enjoy Lapland’s nature at your doorstep, with chances to see reindeer or the northern lights right from the yard.

Glamping in Aurora Igloo

Experience our unique Aurora igloo. Clamping near the city centre but still next to the forest. See and feel the frost around you but enjoy the warmness of the real fire and down blanket. Enjoy Lapland! We have only one igloo in our garden and it is one of a kind! You may also use the garden around for winter fun activities. We have sledges and shuffles for your use. There is no jacuzzi/hot tub or sauna available in this accommodation I am afraid.

Holiday Home Lumimarja

Welcome to the middle of nature to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a log cabin. This holiday home, built in 2013, is located only about a 30-minute drive from the center of Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village. The cabin has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a fireplace, and a wood-fired sauna where you can experience the Finnish sauna culture. There is also a private lean-to (laavu) on the premises.

Traditional Finnish cottage

This traditional Finnish cottage is located by the Lake Norvajärvi 15 km from the center of Rovaniemi and 10 km from the airport. We have renovated the cottage in summer and fall 2019&2022 for your better use. Here you can feel the Finnish cottage culture and enjoy the peace of nature and silence. If the weather is good for the Northern lights and you want to see them this is the place.
