Come & stay in the rural heart of Orkney in Ian & Andy’s eco house close to Maes Howe, the Ring of Brodgar, & the Loch of Harray. We are fairly remote: a *20 minute drive* from Kirkwall, Stromness, & the main tourist sites. *We are not easily reachable by bus.* Dogs are welcome provided they have well behaved owners who bring bedding for them as they aren't allowed on the furniture or the bed. Cereal, milk, fruit juice, tea, coffee, bread, butter, jams, & yoghurt provided for breakfast.

Our large family home is situated in a very quiet residential part of Kirkwall so you can be assured of a restful sleep. We are a 5 - 10 minute walk from the town centre with it's unique local shops and cafes, St Magnus Cathedral, Earl's Palace and Museum. For the whisky lovers we are a short walk from the famous Highland Park Distillery . We are a 5 minute walk from the new Balfour Hospital and Health Centre complex. We love meeting people and welcome guests from all backgrounds into our home.

A very warm welcome to Graemeshall House. Dating back to 1626, this former home to the Lairds of Graemeshall now offers luxurious Bed and Breakfast accommodation in an idyllic setting. The property has been renovated to a very high standard. During a Royal Visit to Orkney in 1956, H.M. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother came to Graemeshall House for afternoon tea.

We are approx one mile out of Stromness and have views overlooking the town, the Island of Graemsay and the hoy hills. We are close to some of the main archaeological sites.
