Summer paradise by Göta Kanal

Gammalrud is a farm, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula, which goes into Lake Viken and is called Vika forests. Here we conduct forestry and lamb production since 1976. Surrounded by the beautiful forest, lake Viken (the highest point of Göta Kanal) and the hospitality of Thord and Ulla, this is your idyllic home away from home. We have renovated the old farm dairy, "Mejeriet", and made it into a nice home that we rent out to guests. The ground floor consists of a hallway, a kitchen suited for 8 persons and a large living room with a cozy fireplace. The living room floor is made of hand-made bricks from the old brickworks in the nearby village Horn. The upper floor consists of one large room with wooden floor and alcoves for 6 persons. At the old canal landing, we have built a large boathouse. Here is a place, not just for boats, but also for gatherings and parties. If you´d like to go fishing you are more than welcome to rent our small boat to try your luck catching pike, perch or any of the other fish in lake Viken. There is also a sauna in the Boathouse. Gammalrud is a farm dating back to the Middle Ages. A full list of previous owners dates back to 1498. In the 1600s, Gammalrud became a manor when the first corp de logi was built by Thord Jönsson Reuterberg. In the 1800s, Gammalrud became part of the Swedish industrial history by one of the owners, Theodor Winborg, also known as “Ättikskungen” , the founder of Winborg´s vinegar and later by his brother in law, Helge Palmqrantz, an inventor and industrialist with machine factories in Stockholm. Both agricultural tools and weapons were made there. A machine gun, designed by Helge Palmqrantz to be part of the defense on Karlsborgs fortress, can be seen at the fortress museum.

Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Ett helt unikt läge för bad, sol (förhoppningsvis), vila och möjligheter till fin natur. Se båtarna passera precis utanför ditt fönster. - Litet men välutrustad kök. - 3 separata sovrum finns varav en med dubbelsäng och två med enkelsäng. - extra bäddsoffa i vardagsrum. - Nyinstallerade luft/luft pump säkerställer en jämn temperatur inomhus. - TV med Fiber uppkoppling.

Mysig stuga nära naturen.

Koppla av med hela familjen i detta fridfulla boende. Njut av lugnet eller passa på att upptäcka den trolska Tivedsskogen en härlig höstdag, från stugan har ni flera sevärdheter inom rimligt avstånd. För att nämna några finns t.ex. Karlsborgs Fästning, Bölets ängar och Tiveds lanthandel. Är du en storfiskare kanske du får gammelgäddan på kroken i en av alla de vackra sjöarna i omgivningen. Till Björstorps badplats - Skarven är det 2,6 km, där är en långgrund badstrand med brygga och toalett.

Vårt paradis lilla stugan vid sjön Viken Undenäs

Välkommen till familjen Nilssons lilla stuga. Koppla av med hela familjen i detta fridfulla boende. Extra sovplatser finns i gäststugan. Sjön syns från stugan två badplatser finns inom gångavstånd. Möjlighet att ta med egen båt sjösättningsramp finns i hamnen. Mataffär ca 3km. Många trevliga och fina utflyktsmål i närområdet. Bla. Tivedens nationalpark, Karlsborg, Töreboda, Göta Kanal. Skötsam hund är välkommen. Uteplatsen är inhängnad. 800m från stugan kan man se älg vid skymning.

Mysig stuga nära Nationalpark

Ta en paus och varva ner i denna fridfulla oas. Fin sjöutsikt från stugan och ca 300 m till bad och grillplats vid sjön. Cosy cabin only 10 minutes by car from the famous Tivedens National Park. Amazing view to lake Unden, the largest fresh water lake in Tived. Fantastic to swim in when it's warm in the summer. Amazing sunsets and a very peaceful atmosphere. Romantic. The area straight down from the cabin by the water doesn't belong to the property but welcomes respectful visitors.

Grilla nyfångad fisk, under äppelträdet ser man sjön Viken. - Ica butiken (500m) - Djärknesundet (badplats) 10 min bort med bil. -Tivedens Nationalpark. -kommunalt vatten och avlopp. -Städning ingår ej- kan ordna städning tillägg på 900:- -Ostädat boende debiteras 1500:- -Skräp slänger ni i gröna containern som står vid toppstugan högst upp i källebacken.

The apartment shares the building with two other units. Perfect for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. One bed is a sofa bed, which may not suit two adults. Feel free to book our floating sauna on the lake – 500 SEK per session. Relax and enjoy the unique tranquility by the water!

Granvik

Slappna av i detta bekväma, unika och lugna boende mitt i skogen där ingen biltrafik råder. Här får ni närhet till bad och fiske i ett flertal sjöar. Vitsands och Djäknesundets vackra badplatser ligger 25 respektive 9 km från stugan. Flertalet naturreservat finns runt knuten. Tivedens nationalpark ligger endast 10 km bort. Tiveden bjuder också på vandrings-, rid- och kanotleder. Från Karlsborg kan man ta en tur med kanalbåten på Göta kanal eller besöka Karlsborgs fästning.
