We recommend using a private vehicle to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The APPI Snow Mountain Resort area has shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, and there is also a supermarket about 20 minutes away by car. There are also great hot spring areas such as Matsukawa Onsen, and Hachimantai Ski Resort and Shimokura Ski Resort are also nearby. It is a cool highland area at an altitude of 900 m, so you can enjoy the natural air conditioning in the summer and a comfortable stay in the warm rooms in the winter. The bed is equipped with 1 king size, 2 semi-double size, and a sofa bed, and we will provide a separate folding mattress and bedding depending on the number of guests.The king and semi-double beds are made with a koala mattress, making it a very comfortable bed. There is a 24-hour convenience store within a 5-minute walk, and you can buy rice and agave sake and craft beer in the refrigerator at any time during your stay. There is also a kitchen, condiments, cooking utensils, etc., so you can cook what you shop at the roadside station, supermarket, etc. We aim to make it a cozy place where you can relax and unwind, like returning to your child's house.Enjoy your stay.

Shizukuishi Town in Iwate Prefecture is a tourist destination where you can enjoy Koiwai Farm, Lake Goshiki, ski resorts, and hot springs. 　Minpaku Halcoya is located near Lake Goshiki, overlooking Mt. Iwate. This facility was built using trees from the town to allow people to experience the warmth of living with wood.   　If you are interested in Shizukuishi life, want to relax in nature, enjoy time with family and friends in a different space than usual... please come and visit us. Halcoya Hanare is a separate building from Halcoya, and is an owner-less, entire home rental. This is a small, newly built house that can accommodate up to 3 people. * Please note that Halcoya Hanare does not currently have WiFi.

Share Village Machimura

This is an old thatched house built in 143 years ago. The family that has lived in the house for generations has protected it, but it was planned to be demolished because of the financial issues in 2014. In order to preserve the original landscape of the satoyama for the next generation, we revitalize the house as a membership guest house. However, the activities were stopped due to the pandemic. In June 2024 we reopened the house as a private accommodation place (rental vacation house).

It is a newly built house where you can feel the warmth of wood and the sunshine. On a clear day, you can see the view of Mt. Chokai. We recommend you to rent a car at Yokote Station or take a taxi. It takes about 5min. There is a convenience store (2min walk), a supermarket (5min walk), and a pharmacy (6min walk), so you can get quickly whatever you need during your stay. Yokote Castle(7min drive) and Manga Museum(20min drive) let us enjoy the history and culture of this city.

The peaceful atmosphere and changing scenery are unique to this place. Even overseas guests may feel a nostalgic warmth.
