Located 5 minutes west of Hedley. At the bottom of the driveway from the old River House cafe is the River House AirBnb. We have three separate rooms for rent; rose, blue and green. This is the beginnings of a farm-to-table homestead. Visit the chickens and the bunnies, or go fishing in the river. When the current is low, we like to swim in the river. Even when the waters are rough, there will be friendly white-water kayakers passing by, waving to us as we enjoy our campfire or bbq.
“Ashtine's place is stunning! Really convenient for a stopover on hwy 3. Comfiest bed and great shower and bathroom with all the supplies you could need. Sweet breakfast included. Loved sitting on the porch in the evening and hearing the river run by. Only thing to note ... There is no kitchen and no nearby places to eat so if you're arriving late, be sure to eat first. I missed this when reading the listing but Jesse and Ashtine were kind enough to heat up our pizza. Thanks for a great stay!”
This newly renovated cottage is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Similkameen Valley in the central interior of Southern British Columbia. Located in the historic village of Hedley, the cottage is one of the original miner's cottages built during the gold mining boom that began in the area in the late 1800's.
“Penny is very a gracious hostess. She is very quick to respond and I appreciated her accommodating my request for a bbq. The cottage was very cozy, the fireplace made the space very comfortable. The bed was really comfy as well, I had a couple of very restful nights sleep. I highly recommend staying here if given the chance. I'll be back next time I'm through Hedley.”
Large suite with private entrance and luxury bathroom in a beautiful log home overlooking Kawkawa Lake. Loft bedroom and sofa bed can sleep 4. Close to trails, lakes and year round recreation.
“A really nice place, well situated for lots of great hikes and a relaxing long weekend. Crystal was great host was always quick to get back to us. The huge bath was our favorite bit. It was a bit chilly in the living areas and the heating took a while to warm things up but this a great excuse to jump under cosy blanket with a glass of wine.”
