You can lace up your shoes on the stairs and you are on a trip. After a 5 minute walk through the forest you will meet Kjerkstien/pilgrimdleden and can hike along it into the fields or take a canoe trip on the lake. A short bike ride away is Foldsjøen with great swimming opportunities. Storfossen with hiking trails is in walking distance.
