Welcome to the Yemenite vineyard (Kerem Hateimanim). this tiny neighborhood located beyond the Carmel market, originally founded in the 1930’s by immigrants from Yemen (therefore her name). since then it became discovered by bohemian Tel Avivians looking for inexpensive houses. even though many of the buildings are nicely renovated and influence by the artsy crowd, the neighborhood is still populated by old timers and hasn’t lost its authenticity. it is full of charming and quaint, like a village. If you are looking for spicy Yemenite food in a homey atmosphere, there are plenty of restaurants to try, Carmel market for fresh ingredients, clothes, flowers and many more, street art, bike rides in the small streets and enjoy the peace and quiet.

At the Carmel market DAVKA GURME cheese stand on HACARMEL St 34 gets good value for money imported cheese, and for the vegan\organic of you can also stop at NITZAT HADUVDEVAN shop on HACARMEL St 30.for Yemenite food you can go to the small allies of KEREM HATAIMANIM "the Yamani vineyard" where you can find a variety of north African influenced food options. Also great area to look around and nibble or have a relaxed coffee.

this wonderful neighborhood is located near the sea, 2 minutes away from central tel aviv, shuk hacarmel, shenkin, nahlat binyamin, allenby, and there are lots of good restaurants, pubs and cafes

Kerem HaTeimanim neighborhood (literal translation would be "The Yemenite's Vineyard") is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Tel Aviv. It's rustic and raw, full of restaurants that offer home-style cooking. Don't be off-put by the simple looking restaurants with plastic chairs and tables -- the food is delicious, fresh, and unique. If it's not too hot, try a Yemeni soup. Most places will be pretty cheap.

Fridays noon are perfect for visit in Kerem HaTeimanim neighborhood. Kerem HaTeimanim is one of Tel Aviv's last authentic treasures, a hidden corner of the city that remains rich with nostalgia and authenticity. While walking through the small streets you can stop for a "Hummus" or just have a beer and enjoy the special atmosphere. For getting there take the num 66/172/72/61 buses. Bus stations are located in the other side of the road.
