Moose Park is about 3 kilometers away and is worth a visit. You can see the very old stave church in Eksharad or take a trip to Bratfallet. There are mushrooms and berries in the forest.

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

You will have to bring your own wood for the cabin and the sauna and your own towels for the sauna.
