“We really enjoyed staying at Dalshöfði Guesthouse. The place was very clean. you receive you own room with a sink and mirror in your room. The shower and toilet are shared but we did not feel that it was crowded. Breakfast was great. The hosts were fantastic. They gave us some local tips in regards to food and attractions. Highly recommend.”
A warm and newly built cottage that is located between Vik and Kirkjubæjarklaustur. It is 28m2 in size and is split into a bathroom and then a open space where is the kitchen, a living room and then a corner where the double bed is. There is a sleeping sofa that can accommodate 2 persons in the living room also. The cottage is by the farm Snæbýli 1 which is the last farm before heading on the mountainroad (F210).
“Siggi and Monika’s place was perfect. They have very clear instructions on how to find the air bnb. Yes, it does take around 20 minutes to get to from the main road but it’s well worth it - we found it very scenic as we were arriving at around sunset. It’s secluded so you can see the stars at night. Siggi even went above and beyond for us - it was snowing pretty hard the next day making the drive back to the road a bit treacherous but Siggi offered to drive ahead of us to show us the way. We felt a lot more comfortable with this and it was more than what any host could offer. If I could give 10 stars I would. Definitely recommend the stay at Siggi and Monika‘s!”
Cozy and comfortable former farm house located between the neighbouring towns of Vík and Kirkjubæjarklaustur on the south coast. Only 45 km from Vík and 30 km from Kirkjubæjarklaustur. The house is in a quiet area of the main road with beautiful scenery all around. The house is perfect for families and friends travelling together. It is a perfect base-camp while exploring the south coast of Iceland with all its amazing waterfalls and visiting the magnificent Glacier Lagoon Jökulsárlón.
“I absolutely loved this stay. It was everything we wanted, very rural. Gunnar gave us some great tips to stay safe at local attractions and very specific directions on how to find the place. The directions were especially appreciated because we weren’t sure how gps was going to work out there. The day we arrived we were told there was a blizzard expected in the area we were staying. On our way, drove into the blizzard and Gunnar was in contact with us the whole time making sure we got there safely. The house was lovely with great amenities as well. We weren’t sure how long the blizzard was going to last but it was fine because the house was great. I’ll always remember this place!”
