The hanok house🫶 I used to live in🫶 Hello, this is Bukchon Attic:) “The House of Living” Bukchon Attic is an old traditional hanok where our family lived. It is not a house that was built or newly repaired by buying a house to provide accommodation, but a house built in the 1920s, and it is a 'real home' where my family used to repair it with soil and natural ingredients. “One-of-a-kind” Most of the items you will use during your stay can only be seen in the 'Bukchon attic'. Almost everything including blankets, curtains, bowls, tables, plants, etc. are custom-made or handmade. '100-year-old hanok' Feel the color of 'Gojae' Korean pine (Chunyangmok) that you can't see very well these days. It's especially beautiful when the sun shines. It may be a little uncomfortable because it is not a newly built house for convenience like a hanok hotel, but experience a traditional hanok in a space filled with living and memories. < Since it is a residential area, I recommend it to those who are looking for healing and traditional experiences rather than rambling parties >

You can visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Blue House and Gwanghwamun Square on foot from the house. I recommend wearing Hanbok, a traditional Korean costume, and take a walk in Gyeongbokgung Palace. Tongin Market near the accommodation has a long tradition of oil tteokbok shops and good-value wine shops. It's also fun to exchange foliage and buy lunch boxes. There are restaurants, cafes, and various bars that have received Blue Ribbon Survey close to the accommodation. You can also walk to the museum of art, big and small, such as the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Park Nosu, Daerim, and Kumho Art Museum. In Seochon, you can also walk through the alley without choosing a destination. If you walk around with friendly hanoks and unique and stylish shops, you'll never get bored. Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, very close to Gwanghwamun Square, the center of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Seoul. It consists of Anchae, Sarangchae, and Annex Room. Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services. (※ The love house is a space that is different from the main house where guests stay in, and it is a completely separate space) Feel the tranquil beauty and scent of traditional hanok in Dongchonjae.
