Inside: The loft provides you with two extra beds. The cabin has water limited to the shower and sink. A cozy outdoor toilet in an outhouse one meter from the cabin wall. This one is equipped with lights, heating and ventilation for minimal odor. Drinking water will be delivered before your arrival. Exterior: Private jetty, rowboat and kayaks available. Welcome to us! We rent out a studio with its own entrance and bathroom and free parking space. City center about 3 km. Bus stop approx. 300 m. Grocery store approx. 500 m. Ice hockey hall and handball hall (Storhamar) about 2 km. The studio is just as suitable for you who are studying, as for you who are going to Hamar on other occasions. The studio is equipped with a bed (150 cm) and WiFi. The place has no kitchen, but there is a kettle, fridge and microwave. We have Furuberget as the closest neighbor with nice hiking opportunities.

Karen's house

Karen's house is located on the courtyard of Sveen farm. There is plenty of space with three bedrooms, one on the ground floor with a double bed and two upstairs with single beds, a total of six beds. The house also has a large and well-equipped kitchen, a spacious hall and an intimate living room with French doors to its own garden. All rooms are painted in bright, delicate colors. From Karen's house you can see a living farm in operation and if you look up, you can see both Mjøsa and lush fields from spring to autumn.

From July 2025, we can finally welcome you to Hanshagan – an authentic farmhouse, closely restored in 1920s style, but with modern comfort. The house has recently been carefully restored: original materials have been preserved, old craft traditions continued, and all with respect for the history of the place. Here you can experience life as it was – without sacrificing warmth, hygiene or convenience. Hanshagan is beautifully situated in Stange Vestbygd and offers views of fields, forests and Mjøsa.

Her har du/dere mulighet for utleie av scooter eller sykkel, om det skulle være behov for et fremkomstmiddel under oppholde hos oss, da det er dårlig med bussforbindelser. Dyr er tillatt, men skal holdes unna seng og sofa, med tanke på allergier hos eventuelt andre gjester, og støvsug gjerne leiligheten

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquility of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside there is a bedroom and an open living room. Outside there is a kitchen counter, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

Start of the tour

Simple and peaceful accommodation in scenic surroundings. The cabin's location is on the northern side of Furuberget, and with lots of hiking trails and only 800 meters walk from the beach at Mjøsa, this is a good starting point for trips, relaxation and fun. Walking or cycling along the promenade from Jessnes to Hamar is a great trip of about 8 km, and a great starting point for many nice experiences.
