6 Acre property all for yourself with 2 bedrooms , small lake and pond within a beautiful private Tea Plantation and a lovely landscaped garden. A perfect quiet place to relax and have a good time feeding the fish. A Perfect getaway for you and your family/ friends.
“This is a beautiful little place not too far from vagamon town. We stayed for a night and we really enjoyed the stay here. Stay: Set amidst a tea plantation this is a minimalist two bedroom cottage with all the expected modern amenities. View from the cottage is great especially when the sunlight shines on the tea plantation hills in the morning. There is a well maintained fishing pond next to the cottage where fishing is allowed if you are into it. Also in the premise is a traditional resting hut which gets nice and chilly in the evening. There is a caretaker family right next door, they were really caring and helpful. Food and Hospitality: The food is prepared but the family and it was really tasty. Including barbecue it will cost around Rs 500 per person, but it was worth it. Especially the inclusion of tapioca and chilly chutney was a great idea. Connectivity: The place is not far from vagamon town, coming from Erattupetta there is a good road bypassing the town. The last 2 kms of road is in poor condition but you can drive at a slow pace. Regarding network connectivity, Jio had moderate range coverage but Idea and Vodafone struggled. But look, coming to a place like this it's better to put the phone away and enjoy the place. If you are planning to visit vagamon I would strongly suggest you spend at least a night here. ”

“We stayed in Soji's place and wow what as experience! It was the highlight of our journey. The room had its own bathroom, both are simple and clean with an independent entrance. Soji's house is beautifully arranged in the middle of an amazing organic living edible forest! We had never seen so many different spices!! Soji and his brother showed us around the farm and taught us about the different fruits and spices they have. It was just great! And also we brought some organic spices from his farm! The family is very loving and we took all the meals with them ad his wife Seenia is an excellent cook! Best Kerala food we had :) We recommend this place if you want to relax, be surrounded by nature and get to know (and buy!) some great organic spices. We will be back for sure.”

“My friend and I had a wonderful time staying with Aneesh and his family. It was a homestay and although we stayed in a separate room, we got to know the family over the course of a few days. All of them were very open and made us feel completely at home - we really hope we will to keep in touch in the future. Aneesh went out of his way to accommodate us - on his day off he took us on a day trip to Munnar which boasts incredible tea plantations, lakes and dams open to public. On the last day, we got to visit the school where Aneesh teaches and he took us to another breath-taking viewpoint nearby with hidden rock faces to climb which we would not have found without him. Our favourite part about the trip was getting to know the family and the local people - everyone was very friendly and open. There is a fantastic community-feel to the remote location and even as tourists we felt more than welcomed into their environment. There was a private bathroom attached to the room and we were able to use their kitchen to make coffees. There was a hot water tap with consistent hot water running. Delicious home cooked meals are available there on request. The house itself is located in a remote village in the mountains - it's about 10min drive to the nearest town where you can get local transport connections to nearby viewpoints/attractions. There are also shops and restaurants in the town serving delicious native foods, chai and coffee. If you are wanting to drink alcohol, it can be hard to find without the help of a local, therefore we recommend bringing from your previous location or duty free. (We have also found this difficult in other parts of Kerala, it is almost a completely dry State). Within a walking distance (40min walk) from the house there is a wild waterfall where you can swim. The pathway down is fairly steep and off the beaten track, meaning a peaceful paradise awaits you at the waterfall's base. We had an incredible time there, would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a peaceful break and experience the local culture in Kerala.”
