There are great hiking opportunities in both summer and winter. From the cabin there are nice views and good sun conditions. The area offers great cross country trails where you don't have to stand in line in the winter. In the summer you will find great hikes just outside the cabin, and fishing opportunities nearby Family park Hunderfossen and Lilleputthammer are also located in Øyer

Cozy little cottage in the immediate vicinity of lovely hiking terrain on Synnfjell. "Veslehytta" is located 820 meters on a cozy tuna about 2.5 hours drive from Oslo. The cabin has two bedrooms, both with double bed (160 and 150 cm width) and dresser. There are also 2 extra mattresses(75 x200cm)Living room with a fireplace and kitchenette, bath with shower cubicle, and a spacious hallway. The kitchenette has a dining table, oven, hob with two plates, and fridge under the bench. The kitchen contains equipment for cooking. Duvets+pillows x6

Nearest cottage area is Gamlestølen with alpine slope, cross country ski trails and restaurant. Very nice walk area both around cabin and in Etnedal itself, Valdres. Here you can walk both long and short walks, bike. In winter it is possible to go cross country skiing. There is a lot of blueberries right by the cabin. The cabin itself is very well equipped, has most of what you need for everyday life.

Here, free-range sheep roam from May to September, and with a little luck you can also see moose. From the cabin, there are paths to Høgkampen and Spåtind, and there is the option of dog sledding during winter. The surrounding lakes and rivers offer good fishing spots and there is also the possibility of horseback riding on Spåtind.
