What are Online Experiences?
Online experiences are live, interactive video sessions limited to small groups. They offer access to expert hosts, online interaction, and a great way to connect with people around the world.
The difference between in-person and online experiences
Online experiences are hosted on Zoom. Zoom is a third-party cloud platform for video conferencing and can be used on desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
Quality standards
Like in-person experiences, online experiences must meet the quality standards. In addition, online experiences must also meet the additional requirements.
Guest reviews
Guests have 30 days to write a review after an experience ends. They can leave private feedback for their host and public feedback for future guests. Read more about how reviews work for in-person and online experiences.
Reservation changes
You can cancel up to 7 days before start time or within 24 hours of booking, or alter a reservation up to 72 hours before the experience begins. Policies for changes to existing reservations are the same for both online and in-person Airbnb Experiences.
Pricing
Online experiences are priced per person by default. Guests should book a spot for each person joining the experience. However, if a host is open to multiple guests joining per device, they will let guests know that they only need to book one spot on their experience page under What You’ll Do and How to Participate.
Refunds
For online experiences, guests are eligible for a full refund if there are any technical difficulties, such as audio or video issues, that occur either due to their own devices or the host’s device. You can read the full refund policy in the Experiences Guest Refund Policy article.
Resolution Center
If you need to send or request money or pay for additional services with your host or guest, such as requesting a refund outside of a cancellation policy, use the Resolution Center.
