A five-star rated breathtaking place just outside the colonial village Barichara. Well connected by car or tuktuk (10 minutes) or a 45 min hike to the centre of Barichara. This one of a kind house is newly built, using a blend of traditional Colombian techniques (tapia pisada) and Dutch design. This results in a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It offers two separate private bed- and bathrooms, whereas the living area is semi-open offering a stunning view over the valley and the Andes.

Hermosa casa de bahareque ubicada a 5 km del pueblo, de media hectárea y arboles frutales para el consumo. Cuenta con dos casas, en una encontraras el cuarto principal con su hamaca y en la otra la cocina. El baño es al aire libre lo que hace la experiencia única. Vista hacia el pueblo, dotado sin TV, especial para compartir en tranquilidad y desconectar. Importante: Solo hay una cama, y otra inflable sencilla. Apto para llegar en mototaxi, 4x4 o un carro alto fuerte, debido a que es campo.

Carlota, a renowned educator and tourism entrepreneur, arrived in Barichara in the mid-1990s and fell in love with the town and its people. She decided it would be her retirement place and bought a huge lot with the best view and in the best neighborhood in town, Santa Barbara, 5 blocks from the main park. There she built two beautiful and spacious houses. Enjoy House 2, which Carlota had for her guests, as much as they did until Carlota said goodbye in April 2025. Welcome!
