The average all year around temperature oscilates between 18-25 ºC. It is a hill village very typical of the region with a supermarket, bakery, post office, small chemist, church, school and typical doctors consulting rooms. There is even a regular fresh fish delivery service. Motril, the nearest big town with its grand choice of supermarkets, general stores, car showrooms, boutiques, etc, is only 17 Kmts away over the hills. The International Airports of Málaga and Almería are oscillates 1 1/2 hrs drive away.

Here you can eat under the jasmine in close connection with the kitchen. And enjoy the view of the village roofs and mountains from the roof terrace, where there are several levels and an outdoor kitchen. At the back of the courtyard you will find shade under the olive tree. Bring a bike, snorkel, hiking boots, camera or skis. The area offers many different activities.

Casita Tomate is a cosy little house in a small white washed village . The house has original wooden beams and a low door accessing the terrace. It is a great place to relax, unwind, and explore this part of Spain. The village is surrounded by hills on 3 sides and accessed by what was once an old mule track, which now has concrete and aspelt. There are no shops, restaurants or bars in the village . These together with beaches are found in coastal Castell de Ferro, which is 7.5km away.

Closer to the sea: impossible

There are oceanfront apartments. And then there's this one. The terrace overlooks the Mediterranean directly, so close that decades ago my father used to fish from the balcony. Today the beach has more sand, but the feeling is still the same: falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up with the Mediterranean in front of you. 🚗 Private covered garage included. Large parking space located 300 meters away (4-minute walk). Forget about looking for parking, even in high season.
