Høyseth is a hidden gem located in the far end of Stardalen valley at the gateway to Jostadal glacier national park. Rent one of our simple and charming cabins that sleep 2-6 persons, put up your tent or park your caravan in the heart of West-Norwegian nature. The camping is an excellent starting point for hiking trips to Haugabreen glacier, Oldeskaret and Briksdalen during summer and Snønipa(1827m) for back country skiing in winter and spring. Come and experience amazing nature!
“This place is absolutely perfect - ideal location, and such a nice spot surrounded by mountains, and feels just enough 'off the beaten path.' The shared facilities and the cabin were possibly the cleanest camping facilities I've experienced! I stayed in Cabin number 6, which was closest to the shared facilities, and right next to the waterfall. The roaring water is loud enough that you can't really hear any of the other guests, and it feels like you have the whole valley to yourself! I cannot recommend this place enough, and I can't wait to come back!”

“Eldbjørg was an absolutely wonderful host. We checked in fairly late, but it was no problem. She guided us all the way and showed us the beautiful loft apartment where we could cook well in a superb kitchen, we could fire in the fireplace and enjoy ourselves. Fantastic area if you want a little outside the center in lovely rural surroundings. You can walk around freely on a beautiful farm located right by a large lake. A delightful experience, highly recommended. Very good for a not so expensive price. Thank you very much for your stay Eldbjørg. Who was lucky enough to become a grandmother the day we were there.”
This traditional mountain cabin is our escape from the every day life. The kids love it and here you can adapt to nature. It is a fearly steep hike of about 1-1,5 hours to get here but the award makes it worth it. We will follow you up and show you the place. You can either stay and relax, make hikes around the cabin or use it as a base for exploring the different highlights in Sogn
“The cabin offers amazing views and great hiking opportunities (mountain lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, etc). The facilities are basic, yet everything you might need is there. Getting there involves a beautiful hike - Magnus picked us up and showed us around. It's been a great stay - if you are looking to recharge in peace and nature, you can't be wrong here.”
