AIRD VILLA, Scalpay, on the Isle of Harris

From the decking it's exhilarating watching the birds & boats as you are more or less right above the water's edge. The house has been fully renovated by property owner John, who spent many years bringing the house back to life. It was built originally by John's Great Grandfather. Two bedroom wooden cabin overlooking the Minch

Make some memories at this unique small house on a private croft hosted by Grant & Lorna who are from Harris and live 300m next door to the cabin. Our cabin has 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds, and a large open plan living space with kitchen. We are 10 minutes from Tarbert and 30 mins from the west side beaches. A wood burning stove will keep you warm in the evenings. A large wrap around balcony is lovely for sitting outside and watching the seals and otters in the bay.

Crook Cottage

Crook Cottage is over 100 years old and is a traditional, hand-built, Hebridean stone cottage. The accommodation overlooks Loch Beacravik (a sea loch), so fishing is just a stone’s throw away; or perhaps a spot of mussel picking in one of the nearby inlets. Wildlife enthusiasts will find themselves spoiled for choice, with otters, seals, oyster catchers, and the occasional bottle-nosed dolphin all on view from the comfort of the cottage windows (bring some binoculars!).
