What you'll do

Before we depart the most spectacular marina in the California Delta (Willow Berm Marina, in case you were wondering) we will have a brief safety demonstration/talk. We'll stow all of your gear, put food and drink in the refrigerator or cooler fire up the twin engine Sea Ray Sundancer and head out onto the Mokelumne River. Keep your eyes peeled for herons, gulls, cormorants, and furbags a.k.a. seals. We'll head out o the "Bedrooms" on Potato Slough. We can fire up he BBQ while we're at anchor, tool around on the very, very (did I say very?) stable inflatable dinghy, drop a couple of baited up lines into the water and see what we get, or do all of it! Feel like a romantic cruise? Bring along that "Special Someone" for a Sunset Cruise! Enjoy a plastic (non breakable container) goblet of wine, some organic fruit and cheese and watch the Incredibly beautiful Delta Sunset, this is very picture worthy. Once we're back in port head over to many delectable restaurants a short drive away, some that can be had by making a short walk. Captain Dennis and crew would hope to make this a trip not soon forgotten, so please let us know just what "Floats YOUR boat!"

My name is Capt. Dennis! A long time ago, I promised myself that I would be the best Captain of a Charter boat operation anywhere! I joined the United States Navy and studied navigation, then I bought my first boat, I operated that boat, and many others, so I could qualify for a Coast Guard "Captains" license. Once I obtained the license, I operated a sailing charter business for 6 years in the S.F. Bay and provided private charters up and down the California Coast. I have relocated to the California Delta and now run tours of this incredibly naturally beautiful area.

Where you'll be

We will begin each cruise from the Willow Berm Marina. One possible itinerary takes us up and down the serene Georgiana Slough to the Mokelumne River, passing under the Highway 12 Bridge. We may select an anchorage next to Willow Berm Marina. Once we weigh anchor, we will proceed further down the Mokelumne River to the San Juaquin River along the "Delta Loop." Georgiana Slough is a quiet peaceful moving waterway with stunning views.

Dennis was a superhost on our trip. Very welcoming and accommodating to our interests. We had fun trolling the Delta and conversing with Dennis. As another reviewer noted, he is down to earth and made us feel cared for. We highly recommend this trip! It's a great value, too.

Dennis has a big, beautiful boat. And, he is a caring and down to earth host. I had a health issue arise, and Dennis was empathetic and understanding.

Dennis was a wonderful Airbnb experience host! We did a sunrise tour and he took us around the Delta and a bunch of smaller surrounding islands. Dennis has extensive knowledge on the area and especially on the wildlife, and he made sure to point out specific birds we saw and teach us a little bit about them! His boat is very nice, and we were comfortable while cruising along the water. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone in the area, we loved it! Dennis, you are great!!!

This is a terrific way to spend an afternoon near Sacramento! The Delta is beautiful and Captain Dennis gives an interesting and fun tour on his boat. He takes the time to survey each person's needs and makes them feel safe while tailoring the trip to their expectations. You will see nature at its best, with wildlife, birds, water plants....may even catch a few fish if you want. The Captain shares information on the habitat along the route and has some good stories as well. I am looking forward to doing the trip again and highly recommend it as a truly enjoyable adventure.
