About your host

I have been the owner of an outdoor fitness business for in the southend of Seattle for the past 10 years called Southside Booty Camp. In 2015, I suffered a life changing spinal cord injury and discovered rowing with my adaptive rowing team, Seize the Oar, then I fell in love the Oar Board. I also am the owner of Southside Smallholding, an urban farm community with a Treehouse Airbnb listing.

What we’ll do

The Oar Board is a new accessible recreational rowing experience. A rowing rig attached to a paddleboard makes for a very stable solo rowing platform that makes it easy for anyone to learn to row easily. We will row around the gorgeous Seward Park Peninsula and land at the point on the return trip for a lovely beach picnic featuring local farm producers (including available produce from…

What else you should know

Allow 40 minutes to travel to Southside Smallholding on light rail. You can wear normal active type clothing. Wear swimwear underneath if you think you might want to swim and any sun protection you like... there will be a chance to swim on warm days.
