About your host

I'm an experienced beekeeper and call myself an urban "beecharmer." I'm passionate about connecting people with bees. I keep hives in backyards, community gardens, and farms, and I teach people about bees through my business, The Beecharmers. Feel free to check out my beekeeping adventures on Instagram @The_Beecharmers or my website www.hivetospoon.com

What we’ll do

Experience the wonder of honey bees in a beautiful, urban farm setting. Bees are so important to our environment, and I want to help you learn more about how they live together and function. After checking out the farm and spotting the many blooming plants with pollinators, we will move to the apiary (that's where the bees are kept) where you'll suit up and become a beekeeper. You will be able to…

What else you should know

Please wear pants, socks that completely cover ankles and closed-toe shoes. Let us know of any bee, food or honey allergies.

What I’ll provide

Fruit
Water
Beekeeping suit
Honey tasting

What to bring

Protective clothing to layer such as full length pants, long sleeved shirts and closed toe shoes. Don't worry, we will also have plenty of beekeeping equipment (suit and gloves) for you to wear! I will provide bottled water but you might want to bring you
