About your host

I’m a local, raised in Cumbria, did my degree in Newcastle. I’ve been hiking, running & biking across the north of England for more than 50 years. What we’ll do

Join an insider's hike in the Lake District that will be safely tuned to conditions on the day and the abilities of the group. This trek, in reasonable weather a classic ridge walk, will reward you with a sense of achievement & world-beating views over lakes & mountains: the inspiration for poets like William Wordsworth. It's a special place & the distance between you & heaven here is a lot less!…

Where you'll be

This trek is in the Lake District, a National Park & World Heritage Site. Our goal will be a ridge walk linking the high fells in the north & centre of the Park. It's a landscape that attracts people of all backgrounds, whether for physical or spiritual motives. We will explore its geological & historical evolution thru sights which most people fail to appreciate but I suspect the emotion you will retain long after is its power to inspire you
