What you'll do

Cross and discover changing landscape of Tokyo downtown by bike along the Kanda River !!

Tokyo is one of the largest cities in the world.
There are many historic, lively, popular and also quiet district. Even if on the same roads, these landscapes would be very different by time (morning and evening).

Through this experience, we try to present you varied landscapes in Tokyo and also that of Edo period in comparisons geographically.

We decided to cross Tokyo downtown along the Kanda River because it is one of the symbols of Tokyo as Seine in Paris ! It begins with Inokashira Park (west of Shinjuku) in the best residential area, runs inside the JR Yamanote line from the historic district to the bustling area, once under the highway, and leads to the large Sumida river in the retro district where we can find boats at table that leave. At the end of the tour, you could watch a landscape of the Kanda River and Sumida with the Skytree Tower and traditional boats. If it's evening, you could admire a jewel of Tokyo.

Un guide francophone à Tokyo pour une superbe balade a vélo, quel bonheur! Tout ça pour une si modique somme on se sentirait presque coupable!

Tatsuo, our guide, was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. There was a bit of a language barrier (English) but he still got a lot of information across to us, showed us some landmarks we never would have found and showed us paintings of how those places looked several hundred years ago. We also heard some of his own stories. Beautiful route along the river, beautiful stop at a garden. Highly recommend!

Our guide was Tatsuo. He was friendly and accommodating. He took us on a stop for a tea ceremony that wasn’t on the tour just because it was something we express interest in doing at the Japanese garden stop. Overall it was very fun to ride the city and explore on a bike.

My son, daughter and I really enjoyed this bike ride. The bikes are easy to use. We saw many fascinating things and our host was knowledgable and friendly. A great introduction to Tokyo and fun to do. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful small Japanese garden as it was very serene and had very few people. Highly recommend this activity.

This was such a nice, slow introduction on our first day in Tokyo! Meeting our host Tatsuo was very straightforward, and so was the e-bike learning curve. It was little hard to hear and understand him as he mentioned things while cycling, but he was very willing to stop and take the time to answer whatever questions we had. Tea at the Japanese garden was a highlight.

This is a fabulous and unique bike tour across Tokyo. My guide was Tatsuo and he provided me with interesting information and some great personal stories. He also had a fabulous sense of humour. The ride is about 9kms on electric bikes, mostly on bike paths and back lanes and I saw some fabulous areas of Tokyo. Highly recommended.
