What you'll do

Discover culinary trends in a historic neighborhood

We will walk around Mexico City's beautiful Colonia Roma district to discover the latest food trends. We'll visit seven tasting places that serve delicious dishes. You'll get to taste a lot of food and drinks, including fish tacos, tamales, contemporary dishes, mezcal, wine, beer, and more. We've been friends with the chefs, owners, and staff for many years now. We love their passion, stories, and views on Mexican gastronomy. We also will take you to some iconic buildings, squares, parks, fountains, and sights, where we will talk about the hidden stories, characters, and history of this hip and charming neighborhood.

Had a great time on this food tour. Our guide, Naomi was knowledgeable and organized. She paced the tour well, shared interesting stories and facts about the neighborhood and the food. She also was great at keeping the conversations going and helping everyone get to know each other. The restaurants were prepared and waiting for us when we arrived. The food itself was delicious and diverse. The portions were sized well for a multi-course meal. We discovered new places and foods, we likely wouldn’t have found on our own. Highly recommend and will definitely do another of their tours when back in Mexico City.

Well, we did not actually go with Rodrigo, but his colleague Fernanda. She was great and very knowledgeable. We come to CDMX at least once a year and stay a few days to see a play, see the main sights, museums, etc. We always think we've seen it all and always find something new. Well, today we did again. We've only been to the newly fashionable Roma area once a couple of years ago, to look at an apartment we could rent. But today, we walked the streets, avenues, squares, stopped in several places to sample food and drink. It is really quite different from the modern parts of the city which we know. And it is charming. Fernanda had stories about places, about old buildings, about history and about food and drink. I think that next time in CDMX, we'll want to stay in Roma. We would recommend this walk to anyone who has a spare few hours in CDMX.
