After sailing over 50,000 miles across oceans for adventure and to deliver health services to remote Islands, I founded Scovare Yachts in 2003 to introduce people to the natural beauty that stretches the length of the Willamette River in Western Oregon.

Shane was a fun, and knowledgeable tour guide for our journey down the river. The boat tour took us past lots of beautiful homes, houseboats, and other sites. I would highly recommend. It was was one my favorite things I did in Portland. Easy to find the meet up spot at the dock, and a just short ride from downtown.

Great experience! We lucked out with the perfect day, but the boat was setup to be pleasant in most weather and it was very enjoyable.

This is a great way to enjoy the river and see an interesting part of Portland. Its relaxing, long enough to be an event but not too long. Our guide Kevin was laid back and engaging with stories about the areas we passed through along the river. Recommended.

Unfortunately Captain Shane, sent us to a ride on the river in a boat with Captain Lowell, who decided to fill up the tank of the boat during the ride. as soon as we stopped at the gas station -located on the river - the sheriff started asking for license to drive the boat, license to transport passengers and inspection of the boat. We were asked for personal information by the sheriff’s assistant and after about 20-25 minutes we were informed that the boat did not have the inspection from the Coast Guard and more issues about the Captain”s licenses He did not give us all the safety instructions that he was supposed to do. The river and the falls are so beautiful the problem was about safety on this ride . At the end the sheriff’s assistant said that it was up to us to return to the dock with captain Lowell but we were no obligated to do
