Where you'll be

We will meet at the head of the Captain Cook Monument Trail, also known as the Ka'awaloa Trail. This trail leads towards the ocean, two miles down, with a 1,300 foot elevation change along the Pali Kapu o Keoua. There is a famous monument to Captain Cook and a concrete wharf that we will enjoy at the north end of Kealakekua Bay. This hike takes approximately 45 minutes to go down, and up to an hour and fifteen minutes to get back up.
