I will provide torches to light the tunnels and cave & ponchos in case it rains. I am first aid trained and will be carrying my trusty First Aid Kit

What to bring

Picnic - there is nowhere to buy food from on the route so please bring some lunch with you.
Please wear hiking shoes, boots or trainers with a good grip. Some parts of the path can be muddy or slippy in wet weather.
Suitable clothing - layers are ideal. It's best to prepare for sun, rain & wind in one day in the Lake District!
Water - I recommend at least 1 litre per person, more if it is a hot day.

Where you'll be

We'll be away from the main tourist hotspots of Windermere & Ambleside, instead, taking lesser-known paths around Tilberthwaite & the Langdale Valley. Suitable for those with a low level of fitness - no big hills but there are some inclines. Approx distance is 4 miles / 6.5 km, with the walk lasting 4 hours with breaks & picnic. Access to caves is via a tunnel of approx 130m x 2m wide. Head height approx 1.5m
