  • We've done a lot of Air BnB and have never come across better hosts than April and Ken. They are amazingly responsive, thorough and respectful. The apartment is spotless, and oh so completely cute. Getting in and out is easy, the kitchen is fantastic, and the bed is very very comfortable. If you need a bathroom on the same floor for middle-of-the night visits, you should consider one of their other two places. We were lucky to have both, and both are glorious. Bikes to borrow were a real perk!

  • Communication with April and Ken was great, even though they were away when we arrived. They left great notes about their favourite restaurants and bars. The cottage is adorable and felt like home- it was very private and quiet. Great to have a washer and dryer after being on the road...

  • April and Ken's guesthouse is perfect for a New Orleans weekend. The guesthouse is perfectly decorated with original paintings, bright colored walls and unique fixtures. We loved the private pool with a guardian lion who let us know not to "dive in the hot tub." We also loved the bikes that we were available to use to explored the neighborhood.

  • My boyfriend and I recently stayed at April and Ken's guesthouse for a trip to New Orleans. This was our first Airbnb experience and we were very pleased with these accommodations. April is very responsive and it was nice having them on the property when we had questions. The house is very charming, clean and welcoming and in a safe neighborhood right off on of the main roads. We felt safe with a locked courtyard and front door. The house is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bustle of the French Quarter but each morning we took a quick Uber ride down instead. Uber was a GREAT way to get around for the week, a rental car is certainly not needed. This location is also perfect if you want to explore the entire city. We visited other districts and the location is great being about halfway between the French Quarter and City Park. Also, having a full kitchen available was perfect as we bought groceries and made breakfast at the house each morning before going out for the day. We loved staying here for the week and I would certainly recommend it to a friend or stay again when back in NOLA - thanks April & Ken!

  • We were first time NOLA visitors and throughly enjoyed staying in April and Kens guest house. They were extremely helpful and easy to contact and made our stay comfortable and easy with some amazing tips for the best bars/ restaurants etc in the area.

  • This cute, sweet little apartment was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway! We were in town for the Bayou Superfest at the Superdome, this being my second time in NOLA and my husbands first time. April and Ken had an awesome “tips” sheet ready that had sooooo many suggestions for places to eat, bars. entertainment, secret spots, all kind of stuff (we tried 2 places and they were both spectacular!) Their place was very clean and stylish and we felt right at home and very safe. We got to meet Ken while we were walking back from lunch and he’s the nicest guy! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone going to visit NOLA, it’s an affordable gem!

  • Nice quiet unit, separate from the main home, complete privacy. Gated entry, felt very safe throughout our 3 day/2night stay. 15-20 minute walk to the French Quarter, but plenty to see along the way, including the beautiful homes along Esplanade Ave. We took Uber on the way back at night, $13 (we had heard $7, but maybe it was the late night price, who knows). Highly recommend Lil Dizzys for Sunday brunch. Only about a 5 minute walk from the house. We also ate at Buffa's one night, great entertainment, including a live jazz band. The food is ok, but the atmosphere is worth a trip. Thanks again to April and Ken for the weekend, I highly recommend their rental, and we'll definitely be back.

  • I just loved staying in April and Ken's Guest House. Although it's in a beautiful, quiet and secure location, it is an easy walk to the French Quarter and to the City Park, for NOMA, etc, or you can easilytake RTA buses and/or StreetCars around town. The apartment itself is exactly as described and shown in the pics - very clean, cute and comfortable - and has been set up well with everything you need for a short or long stay. In addition, April and Ken are delightful, helpful hosts....April printed off tickets for Celebration in the Oaks (a must do if you're there at Christmas), they provided lots of hints for restaurants and bars and the bottle of wine as a welcome gift was a really nice touch. I highly recommend staying there...the best of NOLA!

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • This was a dream come true. The photos of this place do not do it justice. It is an amazing gem in a perfect location. The host is available to speak with you and answer any questions you may have. The space has breathtaking high ceilings, giant gorgeous antique pocket doors, and is very clean and well appointed. The air conditioning works extremely well to keep you comfortable, and the neighborhood is exactly what you'd hope for (safe, friendly, and clean).

  • The pictures of the place are great, but still did not do it justice. Loved the place and the location was great as we walked to shops and bars in the area on Bourban and Royal street. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Mark!

  • Marks Place was so clean we felt like we may have been the first people to walk in there. The space is tasteful furnished, giant rooms, beautiful neighbourhood. Must see the back street museum on the same block. Check in was easy. Highly recommend

  • Truedell and Mark were very friendly and nice and gave great suggestions. The place was less than a mile's walk to bourbon street and all the happening places in the French Quarter. Definitely recommend it.

  • We had a great stay at Mark's place. Getting in was easy and Truedell was fantastic and gave us some excellent recommendations. The neighborhood is beautiful and was very quiet at night so no issues sleeping. I would highly recommend this place if you're coming to NOLA. Thanks Mark and Truedell!

  • A lovely clean and neat house in the heart of the French Quarters. The atmosphere of the street was great and I got a real feel of what I expected of New Orleans. Very close and within walking distance of Burbon street. The house had everything - just needed more tea and coffee for someone passing in and out. Mark was quick to respond and was helpful.

    Anusha2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t waste your time with the tiny hotel rooms in the French Quarter. Just one block off Rampart you have this amazing bungalow with vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen and beautiful architecture. Well worth the money and Mark and Truedell are so helpful with suggestions. The neighbors out front are having a good time and friendly to chat with, you feel like a local! Will return!

  • The perfect space for a friends getaway in NOLA. If you want to be near the hustle and bustle but don't want to be IN it aka staying on Bourbon Street, this is the perfect spot. They were easy to communicate with, flexible when I needed to extend out trip by one day and just overall, a pleasure to work with!

    Michaela2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing stay, close to the French quarter but out of the bustle. Comfortable for two couples and could easily accomadate a family. The host wasin contact and went of his way to be helpful. Thanks!

  • A beautiful condo in a great locaton! Nice and clean. Very close to bourbon street. Condo was true to the photos. The host responded immediately. I wouldn't recommend parking with Hilton valet. I had topay an additional 10 dollars to get my car.

  • This condo was amazing! So roomy and perfect for multiple travelers. Brad was super communicative and friendly before check-in and we had no issues during our stay. Would definitely book again in the future!

  • Wonderful condo in the Central Business District. A quick walk to the French Quarter, but in a quiet street away from the craziness. The condo was sparkling clean. The beds were very comfortable with very nice linens. Two beautiful bathrooms and plenty of towels for all the guests. The living room is open and bright. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Matthew was very organized, answered all of our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed before we arrived. The apartment looks exactly as pictured and was perfect for two people. It was clean and incredibly comfortable (especially the bed)! The neighborhood felt very safe (it's right by the end of the St. Charles trolley line, which takes you straight through the gorgeous garden district and into the French Quarter) and the apartment is totally private, nestled in behind the main house. We had everything we needed and he even left a couple local beers in the fridge for us to enjoy when we arrived. He also had coffee and tea for the Keurig. We loved chatting with him and his girlfriend when we ran into them on our way back one afternoon. They gave us great suggestions for places to eat nearby. On top of all that, he gave us a ride to the airport when we left. If I ever make it back to New Orleans, I will absolutely stay here again!

  • Matthew and Katherine really went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed in the space. It was very convenient and comfortable. Matthew even made additional accommodations to hold our bags since we got into town much earlier than checkin time and left much later than checkout time. I truly appreciated his hospitality and welcome environment. Great experience.

  • Matt and Katherine are wonderful hosts, very responsive and knowledgeable about the city. The Airbnb is lovely and very comfortable and very clean, with artistic style and thoughtful touches (local beer in fridge, local chips and guides and suggestions). Definitely plan on going back.

  • Matthew and his side apartment in New Orleans were awesome! Matthew was a very accommodating host, eager to provide recommendations and make sure his guests feel at home. Both my girlfriend and I were very impressed with the interior decoration in his studio! It was very stylish, cozy and charming. I'm sure there are plenty of other cool airbnb's in NOLA, but my girlfriend and I agreed that we'd check Matthew's availability next time we're in the area--and we'd highly recommend the same for any other travelers! Located in a great neighborhood where you're literally 5-15 minutes away from pretty much all points of interest, Matthew's place is a perfect place to stay, made all the better by Matthew's great and enthusiastic hosting!

    Andrew2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Matt's place was everything he advertised and more. We stayed a week, and felt so comfortable. Located in a very nice neighborhood, and a safe walk to the street car. What a wonderful experience!

Oh-Em-Gee! I'm not sure that I could even put into words how lovely this place is. We just loved it and to be honest, the pictures don't do it justice. It is so cozy, clean, and I slept like a "rock" in one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. It was clean, very nicely decorated, fully stocked kitchen, we even had muffins and juice awaiting our arrival (nice touch!). Lovely bedroom, loft, and a really nice bathroom. We even hung out in quaint private patio area, It was FAB! We also melted right into the eclectic, cultural feel of the neighborhood, and felt very safe. Accessibility to all parts of the city was great. And as if that is not enough, there is Miss Katharine, the Hostess with the Mostest ! It was like going to your favorite Auntie's House. And as soon as you meet her, you get that "warm fuzzy" feeling! Miss Katharine was so welcoming, and always just a call or text away. She was very helpful and seemed to anticipate all of our needs. Just a joy to chat with, without being intrusive. My first and preferable choice when I'm in New Orleans - Easy 5 Star. Goodbye Hotel Chains, Hello Airbnb!

The apartment is really nice and well decorated. It was a bit hard bringing all of our luggage up the steep narrow staircase, but that's to be expected in an old New Orleans apartment. Comfy place and would stay again!
