This little gem is located at the gateway to the picturesque pioneer valley, easy 20 minutes drive to the Base Hospital and 90 minutes to Airlie Beach. 58 km to the Eungella national park, 35 km to popular Finch Hatton gorge and 25 km to barramundi stocked Kinchant Dam. Walking distance to shopping centre and riverside coffee shop. Additional $10/night fee for EV cars.

The Garden Shed

Once a 1950's built carport, now a cosy cabin within a garden. It's unique, it's artistic, it oozes creativity and it was built almost entirely by us. The main room features a comfortable queen bed, a Smart TV, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and kettle, and a few other appliances. Through the french doors your find a small outdoor cooking station, sink and a bar. A few metres further into the heart of the garden you have your own cute little pergola with a table for two.

'The Old P.O' Homestay - Unique Quirky Space

Looking for a unique, centrally located stay steeped in history? The 'Old P.O' Homestay is a beautifully renovated Queenslander, once the town’s post office and owner’s residence. Take it easy at this unique eco friendly stay. With all power sourced by the sun running on stand alone solar and water from rain water tanks. This stay is completely off grid. Located up in the hills near the sheep and cows you can sit back relax and enjoy the beauties of the pioneer valley. Just a few metres from a friendly herd of sheep with 1 maremma dog (Chuck) you are more than welcome to wander over to them. This location is also minutes of the start of the mountain bike track.

Dolphin heads is beautiful part of the world, from inside the apartment you can hear the sound of the waves against the rocks all day and night. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises each morning. I loved coming to this exact apartment so much I bought the apartment as soon as it was for sale. Compared to other rooms in the resort the main part I like about this particular apartment is the simple beach theme interior, beautiful view outside your own patio and the very comfy bed.

Misty Mountain Cabin

My place is close to great views and plenty of wildlife. It is great for romantic getaways or exploring the rainforest to see birds, platypus in the creek at Broken River or just to hang out. The name "Eungella" means "land of cloud" so when you wake up in the morning you will likely be surrounded by thick cooling cloud which clears by about 9am to a beautiful sunny day with the wildlife just waiting to be discovered! Eungella is over an hour from Mackay.
