Picturesque, Historic Villa with Island Views

Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

The Cottage is in the garden of Villa Maria, a 1920's villa restored in 1990, located in front of the beach of Reno di Leggiuno. Today, Villa Maria is divided into four duplex apartments, Villa Maria 1, Villa Maria 2, Villa Maria 3, Villa Maria 4 and this fully independent, cosy cottage. Tower on the lake

Charming turret of the 19th-century castle of Belgirate with lake view, a fantastic sunset from the panoramic terrace is assured and opposite you can admire the hermitage of Santa Caterina. The villa is rich in history, poets and writers have passed through, where they stayed, captivated by the beauty of the lake and Belgirate. A tragic fire destroyed part of the house in the early 1900s, and it was completely restored in the 1990s. In the immediate vicinity is Stresa and its islands.
